often get ignored which is a shame as there is many great ones out there
and today I have one that will make you want to ditch any neutral palette you own!
As with most Stila products the packaging is very natural and minimalist in style.
The palette comes packaged in a cardboard box and the palette itself is constructed of sturdy cardboard,
as mentioned it feels more than sturdy but I don't advise getting this palette wet!
Inscribed inside the palette is a quote by Sarah Lucero which is a really nice touch.
Stila in the Light features 10 large eyeshadows and a full size smudge stick in Damsel.
Unlike other neutral palettes that tend to focus on either providing a warm or cool spectrum
this provides the best of both with a choice of both warm and cool shades.
For me this is a major selling point as I like to have both warm and cool shades at hand
and don't actually have a preference in terms of warm or cool hues.
Another great thing about this palette is that the shades come in a range of finishes,
inside you will find matte, frost and glitter options so something for everyone.
The pigmentation of the shades on the whole is great with only one shade
being a little chalky and weakly pigmented and that was the lightest matte shade - bare.
However I doubt many will disagree that with 9/10 shades providing great colour pay off
is a winning combination, you can also wet the shadows to improve the intensity of the shade.
The eyeshadows (glitter shades included) are butter soft and blend really easily with next to none
product fall out, they really are a joy to use.
As mentioned the palette also comes with a full sized waterproof smudge stick
with is a retractable eye liner - no need to sharpen just twist and go.
The shade provided is Damsel which is a flat matte deep brown shade that applies with precision
and can be worn however you desire including the water line.
It also smudges out with no bother at all and sets to a waterproof finish.
In terms of wear not using a primer the shadows wore for around 6 hours and liner 8 hours,
on the waterline it wore slightly less around 7 hours but it is hay fever season!
As always you can prolong wear with the use of a primer.
Round Up
Product Summary - One of the best neutral palettes I have ever encountered.
Best For - Everyone and every occasion in my opinion.
Pigmentation - (9/10) It really is that great!

DeleteIt looks simple, but really pretty, like both Naked palettes squished into one handy product. Do I need any more eye shadows? No... but do I want this now that I've seen it? Yeeeeees.

Ah fair enough :) what don't you like out of curiosity? I don't like the outer sleeve!
DeleteThis looks so pretty! The shades look really wearable as well! Packaging looks a bit dodgy, I'm really clumsy so I'm not sure how long it'll last in my hands!

Adrienne!! I really envy you! I keep flipping on buying this palette or not, sometimes I think it's too similar to the ones I have and other times I NEED this. I love it but i'm pretty convinced it's too similar to Naked 1. 8D Luckily Stila has two other palettes in this range AND I just picked up their Holiday 2011 palette on sale!
