Nars Torrid Blush

Nars Torrid is not a matte shade but shimmery by nature,
it is the perfect blend of peach and pink,
almost coral but just a little too much on the pink side to fully be a coral.
It has a slight orange undertone resulting in it being warm in tone.
it has tiny little flecks of gold glitter spun throughout which help radiate a glow.
I have had problems with shimmer based products in the past accentuating faults
i.e. my enlarged pores but this one does not sit in my pores nor does it highlight them.

There is not much to really say about Nars packaging other than,
I like the look of it, it's sleek and classic but man do I hate the feeling of that rubberised plastic.
I guess part of the rubberised plastics appeal is that it absorbs shock resulting in the product inside
being safely protected against knock, bumps and general mishaps.
Along with the odd feel of the packaging it is a complete magnetic for dirt and fingerprints,
but hey look on the positive side the mirror inside is a great size and perfect for on the go touch-ups.

As with all Nars blushes Torrid does not disappoint in the pigment stakes,
one little swipe was more than enough to add a hearty glow of colour to both cheeks.
The blush is soft to touch despite it having tiny flecks of  silver glitter/shimmer particles,
I guess this is down to the product being finely milled and well pressed.
Although the shade is well pigmented it blends out with ease
and as all Nars blushes offer a transparent veil of colour you can build any shade up
to achieve the desired effect without any worry of it caking or becoming ashy.
Torrid looks great on all skin tones - light through to dark
it may require a little building up on the latter
but rest assure you can do so without it looking chalky or caking.

In my experience with Torrid being no different Nars blushes last well through out the day.
I normally apply my choosen shade at 8am and it is still very much alive and present
by the time I get home in the evening around 5pm.
That is no easy feat for any product as I do have oily skin which does not ease up in the winter months.
Yes Nars blushes are expensive but can be justified
by the intensive pigmentation levels and the fact one application last all day.
