and as I am rather heavy handed I do tend to body swerve such shades.
However there here is something rather beautiful about Milani Fantastico Mauve.
I think it may be the presentation, look at all the shades swirled together
forming a galaxy of plum hues...just lovely!
Milani baked blushes as a collective are utterly amazing, they are well pigmented
and beautifully presented in slightly bulky yet round golden cases with a hidden compartment
that holds a brush and mirror.
Okay the brush is not all that adequate but I guess if you are really pushed it would do in an emergency.
I have dropped my other shades of these baked blushes more than I care to count
and they never shatter or chip so the bulky packaging must be doing something right.
Fantastico Mauve is officially described as a lavender shade with bright pink
but to me it is definitely a cool toned plum shade with pink and white veining.
It also a slight golden sheen throughout which helps to warm the shade a little
and gives you the option of skipping highlighter if you so wish.
It has a slight brown leaning which I prefer in a plum blush as it makes it a little easier to wear
and opens it up to more skin colourings and tones as it results in the shade being more neutral.
The shade is deep enough to translate well on to darker skin tones
yet blends down well that fairer skins can also wear it with ease.
As with all the Milani Baked Blushes I have tested these are well formulated.
They are firm to the touch which means they can with stand a bump or two
yet when swiped/swatched the pigmentation is evident and the formula is soft to touch.
They apply well, easy to blend out even the deeper shades
and the shimmer element is soft not over the top meaning problem and older skins can sport this with ease.
The blush formula is also easy to build and does not turn ashy or cake on the skin.
I typically get a full 8 hour wear from each application before it begins to fade
but please take into account that I do have oily skin.

ReplyDeleteWow it looks so pretty in the pan... but on the skin it would seem a little too dark for me. I actually am wanting to try Luminoso! Have you tried that shade yet?
ReplyDeleteI recently purchased four of them (i think it was four!) and I haven't gotten around to testing them enough to review them. D: I really need to jump on them if they're as great as you say!
