This February sees the launch of Clarins Spring collection - Colour Breeze.
"This season colour washes over a flawless complexion as the first signs of Spring
are encapsulated in radiant tones of delicate to enhance and illuminate,
for perfect bright and breezy beauty."
Today I have two of the permanent shades to share in the form of Poppy Red and Baby Pink
but I shall start with Poppy Red!

Unlike the previous Clairns Spring Collection items I have shared with you these comes neatly
packaged in a heavy weight high chrome silver case.
The lipstick is heavy and feels expensive not to mention luxury,
with each item delicately embossed with a "C" you can see the effort and detail involved -
even the lipstick bullet has the word Clarins engraved upon it.
Aesthetics aside the packaging more than protects the lipstick housed inside.

Poppy Red is a coral red shade not quite a true red but not a pink either,
I deem it to be a strawberry red - perfect for spring!
I found Poppy Red to have a slight yellow undertone thus it appearing slightly coral
and a shade that should suit the majority of complexions.
This shade has a sheen finish and is frost/shimmer free.

I found the Long-Wearing Moisturising Lipstick to be light and hydrating.
Poppy Red lives up the moisturising claims and feels buttery soft on application,
and is a joy to wear in terms of formula and shade.
I found Poppy Red to be fairly pigmented but to gain full coverage it does require a little building
in order to gain a full glossy coverage.
However the shade did not bled nor did it flake or feather, it wore well throughout the day
on average around three and a half hours before requiring a touch up.
