I love going but can only really go once a year! Haircuts in Denmark are CRAZY EXPENSIVE and as a student I don't really like to shell out 80 quid to get a bit of my hair lopped off, so I always wait until I'm in England and get it done then, in safe hands and for about 25 pounds. I did however chop off my butt long hair in february, make my hairdresser cry in the process, then completely rage when I refused point blank to let her thin or layer it. So I now have mid length blunt cut hair... which I love because I now have no random short bits, no flyaways and my super thick hair isnt attempting to thicken itself anymore.

I would avoid the hairdressers completely now if it wasnt for my urge to have ombre hair, but also have no greys.. and I cannot box dye my roots alone without making a mess (again, thick hair)

Can see my hair in this post:
http://makeerinover.blogspot.co.uk/2015/05/face-of-day-mac-sumptuous-olive.html

I love it :) (when it isnt filled with Grey)MakeErinOverhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08438234948435497180noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7957742153028790995.post-83836481397690611062015-08-01T11:29:57.747+01:002015-08-01T11:29:57.747+01:00I visit my hairdresser every 3-6 months for a trim...I visit my hairdresser every 3-6 months for a trim and a good hair treatment as my hair is so long and coloured (been colouring it since I was 18) so... can't afford to not go!

www.angerawrs.co.ukAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04079630393939642238noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7957742153028790995.post-25249088907975642312015-08-01T10:35:30.672+01:002015-08-01T10:35:30.672+01:00I have long hair too and used to hate having to fi...I have long hair too and used to hate having to find somewhere to get it cut, and begrudged paying for a cut that I knew wouldn't be right. I honestly feel my heart racing and can never relax in there! However, it changed slightly two years ago when I think I've found a hairdresser for ME! Finally! Someone who asks lots of questions to make sure to get it right, understands my hair and is not shoving their opinion down my throat. So you need to be patient and find a hairdresser for you Adrienne - believe me the life will get a little bit easier then! :)
P.S. I still go rarely - maybe twice a year because my hair is in good condition and I like having long hair - I don't colour either, so I don't need often trips. A particularly humiliating experience was at Toni and guy a year or so ago. I had faded out a pink and had a *very* pale baby pink with 4 inches of ash blonde roots that I had been growing out. I wanted a ash blonde overall colour with some highlights. Apparently this required me to come into the salon 3 times whilst they trotted me out in front of a succession of more senior hairdressers who ummed and ahhed and said "we'll we don't know what's on it as to how it will behave" despite me telling them exactly what was on it and the fact that it was absolutely no problem to dye over it as I'd done it at home 100 tines before. They made me feel like I had ruined my hair and that they would have to cut it short to get rid of the pink. I gave up, dyed it at home and went back in for the highlights with them. They clearly forgot all about the pink issues as complimented me on the lovely colour and condition of my hair. They just couldn't cope with anything that wasn't a blonde or brown! the irony was that at the time the big hair photos on the front of the salon was a blonde and lilac hair do. Which is what had prompted me to go there in the 1st place! Just did once as a kid almost 20yrs ago and my mum did a better job.
With my strong curls (3b type) and a fondness of long hair without any specials you wouldn't see in curls anyway, I trim the ends and few layers around the front myself every few months. Not even much work because I got thin hair.
