To know me is to know I have long hair...it's kinda my thing.
Up until a few weeks ago I could comfortably sit on my tresses and after snipping off a few inches it now swings at hip level. What no-one tells you as a youngster, yes you may dream of the longest locks in the land, long hair requires a certain level of upkeep and comes with problems you didn't know quite existed whilst growing out your chin length bob.
Long hair tangles, snags, long hair is also more fragile due to age, as such it is prone to split and dead ends, then there is the shedding and blocked plugs after each hair wash and deep conditioning treatment - which frankly is an article in its own right. Then is also the added expense of hair care aimed at such problems and by the laws of average, the longer the strands of your mane, the more product/s you will use. So not only do you go through more drain un-blocker than the average person but conditioner too, well the new (-ish) L'Oreal Elvive Dream Lengths Long Hair Regime may just save you a pretty penny - and maybe a trip or two to the hairdresser if you are lucky.
Now we all know how shampoo and conditioner works, so I won't insult your intelligence by breaking down my in-shower routine, rather I'll tell you what sets L'Oreal Elvive Dream Lengths Long Hair products aside from others, especially those aimed at long locks like ours. Each product within the line up is enriched with a cocktail of Keratin, Vitamins and Castor Oil to deeply nourish, protect and strengthen the hair all the whilst making wet (and dry hair for that matter) easier to de-tangle. It is as simple as that yet scour any hair care stand on the UK highstreet and you will notice a distinct lack of products catering to such hair type and requirements.
On paper, I'm with you, this does sound too good to be true but after a month of implementing the L'Oreal Elvive Dream Lengths Long Hair Shampoo, Conditioner and No Haircut Cream for a month or two, I can vouch that this well worth tracking down if you have long hair or a barnet that is particularly prone to knots. From the first wash, the L'Oreal Elvive Dream Lengths Long Hair range left my hair far more manageable, the areas around the nape of my neck that are prone to huge snags particularly benefited with my trust Tangle Teezer all but gliding through my hair. How much vitality this collection has restored into my bleached tresses is anyone's guess but for the de-tangle aspect alone, the coral L'Oreal bottles will be a permanent feature within my shower.
If you do have a wash routine that works wonders for your hair and don't really need a new shampoo nor conditioner, the L'Oreal Elvive Dream Lengths Long Hair No Hair Cut Cream still very much needs to be a part of your beauty arsenal. I first tried this silky hair cream out of curiosity - a magazine I was reading had a free sample in the form of a sachet - and was so blown away by how quickly the texture of my hair was transformed, that I all but purchased a full sized bottle there and then. This silky and lightweight hair serum-come-cream, seals spilt ends and reduces general breakage from brushing, as well as protecting the hair against up to 180°C; long hair or not, you need to try this. Oh and did I mention that this can be used on both wet and dry hair?
Unbeknown to me (and evidently my local supermarket), there is also a L'Oreal Elvive Dream Lengths Long Hair Mask and Heat Mask available too, which I have yet to try but given how wonderfully my hair has reacted to the other products within this range, it is only a matter of time before I track them down.
