Let's kick things off with the first Versace fragrance I have enjoyed since 6 year old me used to joyously drown myself in my Mother's Versace Red Jeans - talk about a throwback. Whilst we are being real, Versace fragrances in the past have been pretty dated: fully, intense scents that are not at all easy to wear, nor exactly crowd pleasing, then along came Versace Dylan Blue and changed everything.
Yes the bottle is a little garish and oddly doesn't reflect the light and appealing scent that is inside, but once you look beyond that, the fresh notes are truly mesmerising and will have you coming back for more - it is all I have worn both day and night, work and play for weeks on end.
Best described, Versace Dylan Blue Eau de Parfum is light, fruity and both a little floral and a lot sensuous. With lingering notes of blackcurrant sorbet, Granny Smith apple and icy peach, layered with delicate hints of slightly unusual floral accords such as: clover, forget-me-not and shisolia, Eglantine rose, petalia, rosyfolia and jasmine. It's light, it's refreshing and oh so easy to wear and as mentioned a complete step away from all you know Versace fragrances to be.
You will be hooked from the first spray and the good news is that as Versace Dylan Blue is an Eau de Parfum it lingers all day on the skin and then some.
As cliched as it may be, if you as much as try one fragrant this month, let it be Versace Dylan Blue.
You can find Versace Dylan Blue Eau de Parfum via the Fragrance Shop (£51.50 - £98.50) - link.
