With Spring just around the corner, DKNY have utilised the fresh and blossoming blooms of the season for inspiration to create three, super fresh, youthful and altogether uplifting scents that will take you all the way through to Summer and beyond. The bright packaging, very much hints at the bold, fruity juices held within each bottle. If you have been longing for a new fruity-floral kick to liven up your days and fragrance collection, look no further.
DKNY Be Delicious Violet Pop contains notes of violet leaf, apple (of course) and orange flowers. This is a very sweet but evidently floral scent, the violet note is prevalent and is somewhat reminiscent of the childhood treat Parmaviolets. As of late, a lot of violet heavy scents are compared to Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau de Perfum, this is in noway comparable, the DKNY version is lighter, tart and altogether has a more modern flair.
Does anyone recall the scent, Nino Cerutti 1881 Eau de Toilette? My aunt used to wear all day, everyday as a child so much so that it is forever imprinted within my scent memory, well to an extent that is what DKNY Be Delicious Pink Pop reminds me of. This is in no way a criticism, rather a quick comparison and trot down memory lane. DKNY Pink Pop contains notes mandarin and nectarine, with floral trails of gardenia, violet and orange flower all of which help create a bright, slightly powdery, floral scent that is perfect for the lighter days of Spring.
As with every collection, there is bound to be one variation you won't like and for me this is DKNY Be Delicious Blue Pop. This scent is based around notes of bergamot and unsurprisingly blueberry - I can't personally detect such note but I am assured that it is there. As a lover of lighter, fruity-florals, I personally find this to lean a little to musky for my personal preference but at the same time, I appreciate the change of pace with the strong presence of vanilla and jasmine none the less.
With three fragrances to chose from, at least one the DKNY Flower Pop collection will be the scent choice of many this Spring.
Look out for DKNY Be Delicious Flower Pop collection launching later this month 30ml/£41.
