Typically speaking, I'm not one to be intrigued by hand cream, sure it has its purpose but a lot like body lotion et al, I find it as a category to be quite boring however necessary it may be. I never in a million years anticipated that I would be so eager to share, nor use one hand moisturiser - let alone a beautifully curated trio. And yet here we are and who can blame me for being excited? The darling packaging of the new Jo Malone Hand Cream Collection is enough to leave anyone weak at the knees. The intricate and charming, hand-drawn illustrations that extend from each tube, onto the gift box and back again, to weave a typical yet blustery London scene, have been provided by British artist Helen Beard. The level of attention and detail applied to both the product design and art work is incredible, I adore that the physical box is part of the story.
As you may have guessed, I am fairly lazy when it comes to applying hand cream, most of - if not all - the moisture my hands receive comes via the remnants of whatever I have decided to apply to my face; so far such method has served me well but it wouldn't hurt to dedicate both time and product to ensure my currently dried out digits, receive the proper care they are so crying out for. Yes each of the three tubes are utterly adorable and beautifully scented (Lime Basil & Mandarin, English Pear & Freesia and Peony & Blush Suede) but the formulation of the Jo Malone Hand Cream is second to none: lightweight, non-greasy, quick to absorb, comforting and cocooning and deeply hydrating thanks to the addition of apricot kernel oil.
Now all you have to do is decide which fragrance of the delightful trio you display on your desk - perhaps all three to really make Linda in accounts jealous?
