Typically speaking, when left to my own devices I will nearly always purchase a heavy and often spicy scent - it is not often, or ever, that I flirt with gentle floral fragrances and then along came YSL Mon Paris Eau de Toilette. It is light, dreamy and dare I say almost fluffy (in the sense of sweet like a meringue or marshmallow); according to a quick search this version was dubbed as a "plummets" version which roughly translates to feather, which is fitting but is also the term given to the dotted fabric tied, neatly in a bow around the neck of the bottle. In a long winded way, what I am attempting to say is that this is a cosy and entirely unexpected scent that is utterly perfect for Autumn.
Before quickly jotting down the notes YSL Mon Paris Eau de Toilette I'd describe it as a cosy, sensual floral concoction, tinged with fall fruit accords and would imagine if you enjoy slightly bolder yet not overwhelming scents of this nature (think along the lines of Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb), then this is one you'll want to check out. If that's not enough to tempt you, the official note line up is: Bergamote, Blackberry, Raspberry and Pink Pepper as the top, opening notes;
Datura, White peony, Orange flower, Jasmine sambac at the heart and a base of Patchouli, Cashmeran and White musk.
As far as seasonal finds go,YSL Mon Paris Eau de Toilette has to be my most unexpected and goes to prove that sometimes you just have to take a beauty risk.
