Please tell me we all have a gaggle of products, that we have purchased more than once and yet never got around to blogging about? Cool because as it goes, I have five products that I could have sworn, that at some point I have at least mentioned in passing, how great they are but a quick perusal of my archives has thus far only proven me to be a liar. As there is no time quite like the present, let me share five of the most used - and often quietly - re-purchased beauty products present in my stash.
NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Famous Red £20 via FeelUnique - link
I don't tend to wear red lipstick all that often on the account of my fairly large lips; I often feel that by coating them in a red lipstick, they go from pouty to overwhelming obvious...and then there was NARS Famous Red. Sure it is bright - almost neon - and glaringly red based but on the lips it translates to something special. Is this a true red? Not even close. I can't quite make up my mind if the undertone is orange or pink but my gosh is it pretty, and super flattering on any skin tone.
Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow £49 via FeelUnique - link
My love for Charlotte Tilbury beauty products knows no bounds but one of the very few products, I have ever repurchased is the Filmstar Bronze & Glow - admittedly not entirely through choice. I dropped and smashed my original palette- the fact I all but rushed out the next day to replenish says it all. In the past, I have relied upon cooler and entirely matte bronzers to contour than the one present in the Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow, but weirdly when I am wearing self-tanner (which is more often than not) this shade is more complimentary with said skin tone. The highlighter is also divine: a buttery-soft, golden hue, that glides on the skin and would probably sell out instantly if ever released as a stand alone product.
Kiko Lasting Precision Automatic Eyeliner £6.30 - link.
I am obsessed with nude eyeliner on my waterline - it creates bigger, brighter and more awake eyes with next to no effort. As I have a tendency to burn through eye pencils in no time at all, I spent a good while tracking down an affordable but high quality option. The best around, that I have found is the Kiko Lasting Precision Automatic Eyeliner in shade 01. It is the perfect nude shade for my complexion, creamy, waterproof and doesn't require me to physically sharpen it - what could be better?
Clarins Pore Perfecting Mattifying Foundation £28 via FeelUnique - link.
Clarins foundations often sneak under the radar but trust me they continuously deliver. If like myself you have oil y skin and/or enlarged pores, you are going to want to try Clarins Pore Perfecting Mattifying Foundation. The mousse-like-texture instantly optically blurs, enlarged pores and other imperfections such as fine lines, for an air-brushed yet natural finish. It is one of the few foundations in which I can skip both primer and powder, and not run the risk of looking oily two hours into wear.
MAC Studio Fix Powder £23.50 via Look Fantastic - link.
Technically, this is a powder foundation and as such not something I use daily as it can be a little intense, but for big events and long days, there is nothing more trustworthy within my kit. MAC Studio Fix Powder is a fairly heavy in texture and as such I don't recommend it for the under eye area but to combat shine, or even add a little extra coverage, nothing else comes close. As an added bonus you can apply this with a damp sponge to create a liquid-like foundation if in a jam or so inclined.
