To know me, is to know that I am obsessed with home fragrancing - I have candles, wax tarts and diffusers in every nook and cranny of my house and don't reserve the warm glow of a candle for purely the Winter months - rather I adjust my scent preferences to suit the season. With Spring firmly on our tails, there is one new home fragrance collection I want to draw to your attention - Yankee Candle Pure Essence Collection, I kid you not when I say it is easily my favourite Yankee line up ever. Really.
Unlike past Yankee collections - Spring themed or otherwise - Yankee Candle Pure Essence is a compact collective of just three, key fragrances; each of which are both fresh, gentle and to an extent invigorating. The three scents beautifully encapsulate the season and general feeling of Spring, in that they are mostly inspired by freshly blooming flowers and offer soft, reawakening and refreshing notes to cleanse the senses and maybe the atmosphere too.
Did Spring really happen if you don't Instagram at least one photo of a Cherry Blossom Tree firmly in Bloom? With Yankee Cherry Blossom Wax Tart you can enjoy the soft, almost powdery aroma of such flower in the comfort of your home, gently complimented by notes of bergamot and sandalwood - gentle, romantic and very, very fitting for the new season.
I am not at all familiar with the Linden Tree, therefore I can not comment on how true to life Yankee's spin of the Linden Tree may be. What I can say is that it has a certainly familiarity and as such is both comforting and uplifting - although not identical to Yankee Soft Blanket et al, it has a similar vibe and I do imagine that if you enjoy delicate, and altogether clean fragrances this is one you will want to try out for yourself. Sadly Yankee don't truly specify the notes used to encapsulate their spin on Linden Tree, other than to say it contains a trail of green notes.
Lastly we have Yankee Wild Mint and if I could, I would purchase an entire box of this fragrance and burn it exclusively from here on out. Never have I experienced such a true to life, mint scent quite like this - it is fresh, very, very green and exactly what you would expect of wild mint. The great thing about mint fragrances in general is that they compliment so many other fragrances with ease, not to mention are entirely delicious and reinvigorating when burnt as a solo scent. For those like myself who are a teeny, tiny bit obsessed with mint fragrances, you must try this - it is better than any other mint scented home product I have tried, and yes that does include those very expensive "white" candles.
If you are looking for a quick and easy way to refresh your home and maybe, your mind set - let's face it the power of fragrance is pretty amazing - this could be the quick pick me up you have been looking for.
