Your Favourite City in Make-Up Palette Form

Clinique Non-Stop Looks New York Palette Review

New York City is my favourite place - other than home - in the whole entire world; the raw magnetic energy, the fast past of living and the possibility of an adventure around every corner, appeals to me on a level I'm not entirely sure I have the capabilities to portray. No doubt if you have been you will share my sentiments and if not, I hope one day you get to experience it for yourself - until then I have the beautiful, neutral, everyday palette that is Clinique Non-Stop Looks New York Palette; a travel companion that will have you looking polished in less than a New York minute.

You would be forgiven for purchasing the Clinique Non-Stop Looks New York Palette based on appearance alone - I mean who could say no to the cute yet delicate illustrations of some of the most iconic symbols and locations of New York? What's not to love but like most things in live, it is what is on the inside that counts and luckily there is a great selection of neutral yet not basic face and eye products, neatly stashed alongside three brushes and a huge mirror. As you've most likely guessed the Clinique Non-Stop Looks New York Palette is of course intended for travel - the idea is that you have a selection of easy to wear, staple shades that will suit all occasions be they night or day. That being said you can use it however and of course wherever you wish.

I have said above that the Clinique Non-Stop Looks New York Palette is for everyone but I have neglected to mention that this is a curation of warm toned eyeshadows, which clearly won't suit everyone's tastes. I do however think that Clinique have been savvy as they have included shades that will enhance all eye tones: for everyone (and of course for it's brightening effects) there is the stark, true white shadow that is Meringue and for definition there is the almost-black tones of Peppercorn. For all my blue eyed ladies and gents the shade Light Brown was made for you, if you have green eyes you might want to try the sultry brown-come-plum tones of Jute Brown, and brown eyes will simply dazzle with a slick or two of the soft lilac shade that is Stone. There is also the magic, suit and flatter all copper shade that is Sahara Sun - that will have you hooked from the first application. There is also of course a rosy-brown toned blush that somewhat reminds me of a lighter - and perhaps more pale complexion friendly - version of Benefit Dallas Blush.

In the past I have bought travel exclusive such as this kit and have found that the quality has been skimpy at best but fortunately that has never been the case with any Clinique products - nor or of course this palette. Each eyeshadow is wonderfully pigmented, smooth and easy to apply, despite their small stature and the same applies for the blush which truthfully is almost full sized. As a full disclaimer, I did find that the eyeshadows required a little primer to stretch out the wear but I should mention that I do have oily skin - if you have dry/normal skin you might not experience such issue.

If New York isn't your favourite city there is three others to choose from which includes Paris and London. If you are passing through duty free any time soon be sure to check out the Clinique Non-Stop Looks New York Palette (£35) - it is the best palette I currently own and I mean it.
