Sarah Jessica Parker Lovely Sheer Eau de Parfum

Sarah Jessica Parker Lovely Sheer Eau de Parfum

I apologise for back to back fragrance reviews but when scents smell this good, it would be rude not to share. I'm a little late jumping aboard the Sarah Jessica Parker fragrance train but now that I am aboard, I'm not giving up my seat for anyone...well I probably would because I was raised better than that, but you know what and where I was going with this. If you are looking for a soft, romantic and altogether floral day-to-day scent for the Summer, then I want to steer you towards Sarah Jessica Parker's Lovely Sheer Eau de Parfum, which has only just landed on UK shores.

Out of all the celebrity fragrances I have tried over the last few years, I do feel like the entire SJP Lovely range has the most beautiful and sophisticated packaging, which is baked up by the grown up floral scent inside. The Art Deco inspired bottle, that has a cloudy-come-pearlescent finish coupled with little pink accents couldn't be prettier and perfect for displaying on any dresser.

Sarah Jessica Parker Lovely Sheer Eau de Parfum is of course very similar to the original Lovely fragrance, albeit a little softer and perhaps more suited to day wear, especially now that the days are becoming a little warmer. All this means nothing if you haven't experienced SJP Lovely, if that is the case the official note line up is as follows: orange flower, mandarin, gardenia, pink peppercorn, blonde wood, musk, vetiver and amber. On paper it reads rather intense but in person it translates to a soft, sheer (almost like a second skin) and utterly relaxing floral experience that is a joy to wear, and experience for that matter.

As fragrances don't translate all that well online, when possible I do like to add a comparison point and in my opinion Sarah Jessica Parker Lovely Sheer Eau de Parfum - and Sarah Jessica Parker Lovely Sheer Eau de Parfum for that matter - is very similar to Narciso Rodriguez for her.

I think I will have to explore the other fragrances within the Sarah Jessica Parker house as so far I have been nothing but impressed.

  3. For some reason I've always stayed away from SJP fragrances as well. I guess the packaging never excited me enough? Anyway, I look forward to trying this out now!

  4. I'm usually anti-celeb fragrance, but I really like the original Lovely - and somewhere in my mind I seem to remember she was pretty involved in the creative process for the scent, rather than just slapping her name on a bottle! I'll give this a go!
