Vintner's Daughter Active Botanical Serum is the hidden beauty secret nestled amongst my other skin care products, the unassuming brown glass bottle (chosen to protect and reserve the integrity of the active ingredients inside) doesn't quite hint at the pure liquid gold magic trapped inside. As any good facial oil should, Vintner's Daughter Active Botanical Serum does indeed feature a dropper dispenser to control just how much product you dispense - for the record as this is so potent (and dare I say expense) less is truly more. After cleansing at night, I gently measure out three small droplets of oil - one for my forehead and one for either side of my face- before thoroughly massaging in and following up with my regular night cream (Origins Night-a-Mins FYI).
What's a beauty product without a back-story? Boring, that's what. As it goes, Vintner's Daughter Active Botanical Serum is the brain-child of April Gargiulo, a Winery owner; after intensive research within her own skin care regime, she became concerned at the level of fillers used within facial products. It was in this moment that she vowed to research more natural yet effective solutions thus Vintner's Daughter Active Botanical Serum was born (and after two years of trial and error). The oil contains no less than 22 of the world’s most active organic botanicals from: cypress and frankincense - cypress for skin cell renewal and for its healing properties, frankincense helps aid the micro-circulation of the skin for a plumper complexion. There is also hazelnut oil (a natural astringent that can protect against UV damage), carrot oil (balancing, rich in vitamin A - a great, natural solution to anti-ageing) and evening primrose oil too (great for acne, eczema and dry skin, not to mention packed with vitamin E and C). Basically whatever your skin's condition or woe, this oil offers a solution - a true one size fits all product if ever there was one. I must stress that due to the nature of the active botanicals within this product, you must use a high factor SPF the day following application of the oil, and for as long as you use it to avoid sun sensitivity.
Admittedly Vintner's Daughter Active Botanical Serum is not the lightest textured oil I have come across but stick with it, give it five or so minutes to fully absorb, sleep on it and bask in the glory of your rejuvenated skin the next morning. Grab that list of skin wishes and tick them off, as Vintner's Daughter Active Botanical Serum delivers it all. Brightened skin? Check. A smoothed out and softened complexion? Check and check. A solution to fine lines, deeper set wrinkles and general ageing concerns? Check, check and of course check. For me the real seal of approval came after a long flight, a bout of hives and an weekend of air conditioning - miraculously this oil quenched any dryness, brightened and comforted in one quick step. It was like having my own facialist and skin care specialist at my beck and call, without the need for small talk and a tip. Think of this as your one stop beauty fix - a product that not only cares and caters to your skin needs but protects and rejuvenates at a lightening pace. Yes at £150 this is not a product anyone should, nor will purchase on a whim - run a Google search, ask a friend and a lot like the current state of my skin you will find that the reviews are no less than glowing.
Best start digging under those sofas now for any stray loose change...

Eek, that's pricy. But the fact that it's suitable for your skin is good! Oils never truly absorb into my skin...
ReplyDeleteWow this seems pricy! My favorite affordable oil is the Pixi Rose Oil one.

I've never tried a facial oil because my skin is a little oily already. The benefits might be worth a go however!

This sounds amazing but £150! I don't think I've ever heard of a more expensive product, but I'm sure it must be worth it if people are buying/re-purchasing it for that price! I better get saving!
