Maybelline Brow Drama Pomade Crayons

Anything Gigi Hadid claims to use has got to be worth trying out, even if she is the star of the advertising campaign and of course blessed with the most beautifully full yet tamed brows known to man. Some girls have all the luck. Yes Gigi Hadid may be the face of the Maybelline Brow Drama Pomade Crayons but if she does indeed use this product, I can't say I blame her as it is nothing short of wonderful. I've wrote a full and frankly lengthy review of the Maybelline Brow Drama Pomade Crayon in Medium Brown here, but as I now own all three shades I thought I'd update with a full swatch gallery.

Before I share all three shades of the Maybelline Brow Drama Pomade Crayons, let me quickly gloss over the formulation; as you can see this is a chunky crayon, now If you are completely skilled within the field of brow application, or have naturally full eyebrows, I'd imagine application will be a breeze. If like myself your brows are sparse, and/or you desire a little more precision, I personally recommend dipping a stiff and angled brush into the pomade and applying as you would a brow gel. The texture is soft yet not overly so and as such it is easy to apply, I find that it glides onto the brows with ease but it does have a certain waxy quality; this not only grips to the hairs but helps to tame and smooth the brows. In terms of comparison, I would say this is on par texturally at least, with the likes of Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Pomade - the main differences being the price and overall product form. I find the texture attaches to the brow hairs, creating a fuller but natural finish; as it is wax based, it creates a waterproof- and perhaps sweat proof - barrier to lock your brows firmly in place.

As the Maybelline Brow Drama Pomade Crayons are new, the shade range is fairly limited - three brown tones to be exact - I have no idea if Maybelline will expand the collection but I do feel it could do with a deeper, near-black option and a more ruddy toned shade for redheads. I must warn that in my opinion and experience the Maybelline Brow Drama Pomade Crayons do run a little light, as such you may want to purchase a shade up from what you would normally use.

Maybelline Brow Drama Pomade Crayon in Dark Blonde - a light, grey toned, almost taupe brown hue that will suit even the fairest of blonde brows. If you are naturally blonde and find brown products on the whole to be daunting this is the perfect shade/product to try - it is almost impossible to over-do it with this shade.

Maybelline Brow Drama Pomade Crayon in Medium Brown - a cool toned and somewhat ashy light brown that is perhaps more suited to blondes and those with light brown hair/brows. This is a funny shade in that it most likely will be too light for most brunettes but a great option for darker and maybe even bleached blondes.

Maybelline Brow Drama Pomade Crayon in Dark Brown - again a cool toned but somewhat deeper brown shade. I would imagine that this will be a suitable shade for most medium and to some degree darker brunettes but would hasten to add that it is one the lightest "dark brown" brow products I have come across. I guess on the plus side it will look super natural.

If there is a Maybelline Brow Drama Pomade Crayon to suit your needs in terms of colour, buy it. Seriously it is one of the best - none the less budget - brow products I have come across in a long while. It does all it claims to do and more. You need this, no your brows deserve this!
