Garnier Ultimate Blends for the Body

It doesn't seem all that long ago since Garnier launched their Ultimate Blends hair care range - a selection of tailor made products, designed for not only various hair needs but water conditions too. Well if you have ever found yourself in the shower, scrubbing your hair and wondering if Garnier will ever expand the Ultimate Blends range to include deliciously fragranced yet effective body products, today is your lucky day. As it goes, there are four Garnier Ultimate Blends for the body collections to choose from, all of which have been formulated for various skin conditions.

I will be entirely honest in saying that body products such as lotions and oils seldom catch my attention; when I head into the likes of Boots and Superdrug, I'm more likely to be swayed by a new lipstick than a body moisturiser - they are however a necessity for dried out skin, especially since we are all counting down to Summer. One more confession - as much as I appreciate a sorbet scented body cream, they don't always mingle well with my chosen fragrance of the day and on some occasions have been known to break me out. For such reasons I do tend to gravitate towards soft, somewhat milky scented body products - or if possible scent free - making the Garnier Ultra Blends Body Delicate Oat collection the perfect choice. Yes it is fragranced ever so slightly but the gentle, almond-come-milk based aroma evaporates quickly meaning it does not interfere with anything layered on top.

The Garnier Ultra Blends Body Delicate Oat may be a small collective of two pieces (the body lotion comes in two sizes) but it is perfectly formed to cater dried out skin everywhere on your body - including the delicate complexion. If that is not enough, the Garnier Ultra Blends Body Delicate Oat is gentle enough to be used even on fragile skin, such as children. I'm not a Mother (and have no immediate plans to reproduce) but I can imagine that things can get pretty hectic, especially when away from home. The Garnier Ultra Blends Body Delicate Oat may help free up a little space in your travel bag as it is suitable for the whole family, not to mention the oat based formula is both hydrating and soothing - the ideal after-sun treat.

So yes two new products (both of which join the existing Delicate Oat hair care range): Garnier Ultra Blends Body Delicate Oat Multi-Purpose Soothing Balm (the star of the show) and Garnier Ultra Blends Body Delicate Oat Soothing Hydrating Lotion.

Garnier Ultra Blends Body Delicate Oat Multi-Purpose Soothing Balm is a soft, almost gelatinous textured balm that has been created to cater to fragile and sensitive areas of the body - which includes the facial area. The soft, non-greasy and ultra cooling formula gently hydrates without stinging or irritating the skin (it's great for using on the legs after shaving), and will effectively restore the skins protective barrier with the aide of oat milk and white almond. I will be entirely honest in saying that this not my favourite product for the face but at least you know that should you ever forget a moisturiser on-the-go, this will be suffice until reunited with your beloved day/night cream. There is not an area on the body that this nifty little pot won't cool, calm or protect and it deserves a place on everyone's bathroom shelf. 

Garnier Body Ultimate Blends Soothing Hydrating Lotion is a surprisingly thick, yet easy to use and dare I say quick to apply and dry for that matter, body moisturiser. The texture is more creamy than your traditional body lotion and as such is by far more comforting and overall nourishing. As Garnier Body Ultimate Blends Soothing Hydrating Lotion has been formulated for dry and sensitive skin, it both nourishes and protects - much like the above balm. Again the Garnier Body Ultimate Blends Soothing Hydrating Lotion contains a delicate blend of oat milk and almond, this instantly cocoons and engulfs the skin in moisture, all without ever being greasy or overwhelming for that matter. I know I should advocate a daily body moisturising routine over a quick fix but hey we all live busy life's. If you have dry, tight and perhaps irritated skin that needs an immediate moisture boost this is the body lotion you have been waiting for.
