Last week I had the utter pleasure of attending the Millennial 20/20 event in which the latest and dare I say cutest, Foreo launch was unveiled to all attending before anyone else - the Foreo Luna Play. The Foreo Luna Play is the smallest and first disposable facial brush from the brand - don't worry the battery will last for at least 100 uses. The Luna Play has been designed for a hectic lifestyle and to give those who have yet to commit to a facial cleansing tool - an affordable entry level option if you will.
Sometimes shrinking a beauty tool or any product for that matter can result in a comprise of quality, which happily is not the case with the Foreo Luna Play. Yes the Foreo Luna Play is teeny tiny, dinky if you will (around the size of a cotton pad) but it features all the original features of the original Foreo cleansing brush. Unlike the other facial brushes within the Foreo line up, the Foreo Luna Play is a disposable brush; after around 100 full uses the Foreo Luna Play battery will eventually run out. When it does you simply recycle the brush and either replace your Luna Play or commit to a full size Foreo brush of your choosing. At just £29 for a Foreo Luna Play it doesn't retail for much more than your standard facial brush head; the difference is that you don't need a charger, simply pack the Foreo Luna Play, use and go. The other somewhat fun element of the Foreo Luna Play is the vast colour selection on offer - no less than 7 options, my personal favourite has to be the mint shade.
As with all Foreo devices the Foreo Luna Play is constructed from super soft silicone; the gentle texture of the silicone ensures that the skin is never at risk of damage as the bristles so to speak are so gentle. By choosing silicone, the Foreo tools are also up to 35 times more hygienic than a nylon face brush, making them great for all skin types including acne prone complexions - it does not aggravate blemishes nor further spread bacteria.
Not is the physical appearance worlds apart from a typical facial brush so is the design and application; the Foreo Luna Play relies upon T-Sonic pulsation technology meaning the brush physically pulses at a rate of 8,000 pulsations per minute. The gentle movements help to not only deeply cleanse the skin (it removes up to 99.5% of daily dirt and oil) without stripping the complexion of its natural oils, as well as exfoliating too. In my opinion there is no better tool for city living; if like myself you find that pollution wrecks havoc upon your skin and you never fully feel clean after a day in the big smoke, team the Foreo Luna Play with your every day cleanser (all cleansing mediums work) for deeply cleansed skin without that dreaded "squeaky clean" sensation. From the first use you will experience noticeably softer skin and with continued use, the complexion will radiate a natural glow and absorb skincare such as moisturiser a little more efficiently.
Psst, for savings of up to 34% off of Foreo products this Black Friday head over to the Foreo website - link.

This looks great! Although I have to admit £30 for something disposable... a bit steep.

When I first saw these I thought it was a great idea for someone, that was looking into the product and wanted to try before making the go-head to the investment of a full size or a mini. Also would be great if you did a lot of traveling was my first thought, because you wouldnt' have to lug a full size plus charging cords. This was great post !!

I'll be honest when I first saw the name and the picture I thought this blog had taken a bit of a wild turn and you were now reviewing vibrators :') That said these look adorable! And while I've been hesitant to drop the cash on a facial brush I do think it's something that I am willing to invest in if I find one that works.

I would love to win one of these! I always look at them whenever I go into Whole Foods (weird place to look at them I know) but I talk myself out of buying one every time... fingers crossed for the giveaway!

Been eyeing these up for ages as well as their toothbrushes - I had a cleansing brush but never felt it got 'in there' with the dirt but this sounds so good!

I've been using a Clarisonic for some time ... when I've remembered as it lives in the bedroom
ReplyDeleteBeen umming about a Luna and after reading your blog, ordered big brother Luna mini 2, sunshine yellow, gorgeous colour, will appreciate colour more in winter -a little ray of sunshine that lives in the bathroom. Arrived yesterday
Charged and used it. Being a recycled teenager found it so much easier to use than the Clarisonic as it's a lot lighter
So easy and a pleasure to use and as it's in bathroom in its box it'll get used once if not twice a day. My skin feels so soft and smooth, nice healthy colour, looks as though had microdermabrasion. And this is after I've used it 4 times
I've got the luna mini which is great, only charged it once in 8 months and it's only a small USB charger so no hassle at all. While I think the play is a nice way to try before you commit I feel it's a bit wasteful, can it be recycled?
ReplyDeleteI think £30 is a lot of money for something that may be used about 99 times, its a good price for someone who is thinking about getting the luna and wanting to give it a go like myself. I might be picking one up next time i get paid.
