New Bourjois Little Round Pot Blushes Shades

I can't go on record and declare it to be fact but I am almost certain that my first ever blush was by Bourjois. I can distinctly recall the round, pink container bobbing about in my make-up bag and applying it slightly over zealously in the school bathrooms. Ever since then I don't think my make-up collection has been without a Bourjois Little Round Pot Blush or two, and as I really like pink and coral hues the two newest shade additions are something I couldn't pass up on.

As to be expected the Bourjois Little Round Pot Blushes do indeed live up to their name; small round pots, each of which not only contains a baked blush but also a mirror but also a flat brush too. Typically I do disregard the brushes from the pots as they are a little on the firm and scratchy side but they do come in handy for applying swatches if a blogger, and weirdly they are a breeze to contour with. The packaging itself is plastic and sturdy, not to mention fairly pretty too as each case is colour co-ordinated to match the blush housed inside - convenient and cute!

The Bourjois Little Round Pot Blushes existing colour range is fairly expansive (around 15 shades), most of which are pink in tone - it's such an easy shade to wear and universally flattering. The two new shades are not ground-breaking by any means but if you like a punchy-pink, or a sun-kissed coral flush of colour then you will be pleasantly surprised:

Bourjois Fraicheur de Rose (shade 42) - a dusty, blue-toned, medium pink that features tiny flecks of silver glitter. This is a fairly suit all shade as it leans neither too deep nor too light, however the glitter can settle into enlarged pores and fine lines. Noticeable glitter aspect aside, this does strike a similar resemblance to MAC Stereo Rose.

Bourjois Corial Tentation (shade 43) - a matte, bright orange based pink that will look great with a tan and really come to life on medium to deep complexions. If you have a paler skin tone I suggest applying with a large fluffy brush and a light hand as this is a strongly pigmented blush. Once applied, it does remind me a lot of MAC Ripe Peach Blush.

I've tried several, if not tens of Bourjois Round Pot Blushes and have found that the matte shades wear better on my oily complexion, not to mention are far more flattering. Each of the above blushes are beautifully pigmented and best applied with a fluffy brush to avoid harsh lines; having said that they do blend out with ease, should you over apply. Typically speaking each Bourjois blush wears around 6 hours on my skin before slight fading begins to appear. The real downside of the Bourjois Little Round Pot Blushes is the scent, an almost burnt rose fragrance that does take a little getting used to and is admittedly not for everyone. If you can look past that, I do think that the Bourjois Little Round Pot Blushes are a snip at just £7.99 each, not to mention as they are baked blushes they last forever and a day.
