Self tanning is not without its difficulties, yes I want a golden and natural tan but do I really want to spend an evening buffing and moisturising, to end up orange and dare I say streaky. In a word no. Well what if there was a gentle gradual tanner that not only featured a guide colour but also perfecting technology too? Say hello to St.Tropez Everyday Tinted Body Lotion, your summer secret weapon to perfectly bronzed and softened skin.
St.Tropez Everyday Tinted Body Lotion is just that, a light golden tinged everyday gradual self tanning product; the idea is that much like any gradual tanning products you apply St.Tropez Everyday Tinted Body Lotion as frequently as you feel necessary to build a natural hint of colour with ease. The guide colour gently warms the skin but also ensure flawless application to ensure that you do not miss any areas without looking muddy nor having a tell-tale musty self tan fragrance - perfect for everyday wear. If that is not enough it also features an optical blurring quality - think of it as a primer for your body (it has a similar gel/silicone like texture) to even and smooth the skin. If only it would apply itself to my back, I'd all but marry it.
Above: colour of tanner, bare skin, guide colour and one application developed.
Now you have the general concept behind St.Tropez Everyday Tinted Body Lotion let me share my experience thus far. St.Tropez Everyday Tinted Body Lotion has a fairly thick and as mentioned before gel texture that is slightly silicone based, as such it glides onto the skin and dries very quickly too. It is moisturising, very delicate in scent and comfortable to wear i.e not at all greasy nor dehydrating towards the skin. Much like most gradual tanners you do have to apply St.Tropez Everyday Tinted Body Lotion fairly regularly to garner the best results - I recommend applying daily until you reach your desired golden hue, and then maintaining the colour with a quick top up every three nights or so.
I'm sure it goes without saying that self tanners aren't a one size fits all type of product - why else would we have light, medium and dark options - and as such, I would recommend St.Tropez Everyday Tinted Body Lotion for light to medium complexions if looking to bronze the skin, but suitable for all if looking to perfect the skin. If you struggle with self tanner be it with application or a believable end result, this is the product you have been waiting for.

I'm a mess with self tanner so I always go for a gradual tanner instead. But I like a stronger tan then pictured, I feel like if you're going through the effort, the result should be dramatic lol

This sounds like it's amazing specially for those whom are starting out. I've heard so many good things about this product, an it seems to be a lot of peoples favourites. I will have to try their products don't know what one I want to try first of their line. I'm using Coppertones version and that one isn't too bad can be a tad to orange if you over apply to an area.

The couple of times I have tried 'proper' fake tan it has literally been a disaster. I've used some of the gradual ones with some success but they're by no means fool proof. I have wondered for a long time why someone hasn't made a gradual tanner with a guide colour to help me successfully take the edge off the blinding glow of my milk bottle legs lol. This sounds so good!

I've just purchased this and can't wait to try it! I had done on their site to reorder the inshower tan, which I'd been loving, but saw this and thought I'd give it a whirl.
ReplyDeleteI'm intrigued to see what it's like, as my previous experiences with tinted moisturisers from Johnsons and Dove have always left me orange.. I am pale and this isn't a good look/change.lol

This sounds really good, I'm a pretty big fake tan and love trying out new ones! I love that it doesn't have that awful fake tan smell you can get as well! xo
