If any brand is able of changing the face of masks it is Origins; forget what you know about facial masks thus far, Origins By All Greens Foaming Deep Cleansing Mask is about to change everything. As you may have guessed Origins By All Greens does indeed foam and is a face mask that doubles up as a cleanser. Intrigued? You will be...
Let me begin by saying that I have only just began testing Origins By All Greens Foaming Deep Cleansing Mask but as I have used it a few times, both as a mask and cleanser, I do feel equipped to share a few thoughts on the beauty product set to shake up the beauty industry. So yes this is a foam based product but not really as you'd know it; unlike a typical foaming cleanser this does not spout out from the tube as a foam, rather it takes a few moments to dare I say fluff up once on the skin. As you can hopefully see from my photos, on initial application it is a light, liquid texture that somewhat fattens and foams a few seconds later - to try it, is to really understand it.
Origins By All Greens Foaming Deep Cleansing Mask is a cleansing and detoxifying product, the concept being that no matter how you decide to use it, the gentle foam will deeply cleanse the complexion, all without stripping the skin of its natural moisture. It is formulated with antioxidant rich ingredients such as Spirulina, Spinach and Green Tea to protect the complexion, as well as boosting vitality due to the high concentration of naturally occurring vitamins. The cleansing power is produced by Coconut derived cleansers (fatty acids from coconut oil) and Kaolin Clay; the clay helps to remove trapped dirt and sebum for a deep cleanse without the typical drying qualities of a clay based mask. The fatty acid based coconut addition of course also helps to cleanse but does so in a skin softening and soothing way - it is a rather clever combination and perhaps the reason why Origins By All Green Foaming Deep Cleansing Mask is able to foam without stripping the skin? I should also add that Origins By All Greens is free from Parabens, Sulphates, artificial fragrance and has not been tested on animals.
As anyone would be, I was excited to use Origins By All Greens Foaming Deep Cleansing Mask as a mask - the foam element captivated me from the get go. To use you simply, apply the liquid to dry skin without blending into the skin and allow the foam to develop, once it does so you can leave for up to 15 minutes for a deep cleanse a.k.a as a mask, or remove immediately as you would a cleanser. Either way the skin does feel fresh and comforted; sometimes deep cleansing masks can leave my skin feeling a little tight and parched after use, almost as if I should slap on the most nourishing moisturiser I own. I can safely say that thus far (three uses in, the recommend weekly quota if using as an intensive treatment) that this is not the case with Origins By All Greens Foaming Deep Cleansing Mask. I should also add that my acne prone skin has not flared up and Origins By All Greens does a fantastic job of removing even the heaviest of foundations.
I am more than pleasantly surprised and happy to say that this is a welcome product within my skin care cabinet, rather than a novelty item to scare my postman with (sheet masks seem to have that covered).
Origins By All Greens Foaming Deep Cleansing Mask £32/70ml will launch this coming April.
It's been a while since I tried a new Origins product, would love to check this out

Oh wow this sounds amazing! I have quite sensitive skin, so often feel the need to put on a dense moisturiser post face mask too, so I'll definitely have to give this a whirl!
