Space within my handbag, let alone make-up bag is of a premium - I don't like to lug around more products than I actually need or will use, and hate when my bag is so heavy that it digs into my shoulder. As such I am forever on the look out for multi-tasking products, whether that is the intended purpose or not of such item. Speaking on unintended multi-taskers, let me introduce you to GOSH Forever Eyeshadow Matt, a chunky crayon that can be used to contour as well as providing a slick of colour for your brows and eyes. Trust me when I say that this nifty, little pencil is about to shake up your entire routine as you know it.
As you can most likely see GOSH Forever Eyeshadow Matt are plastic, crayon like pencils that are fairly chubby in structure and typical in design to many products of this category. However for the sake of convenience each GOSH Forever Eyeshadow Matt does not need to be sharpened, to release more product you simply twist the bottom upwards; this equates to less mess and general frustration in finding a suitable sharpener not to mention, one less item to worry about packing when travelling.
The GOSH Forever Eyeshadow Matt collection is fairly minimal in shade range, to be exact there are four neutral, suit all shades - three of which are brown, completed with a classic black. The beauty of such tones and the matte finish is that they lend themselves well to a multitude of uses - the medium brown shades particularly so. I have the shades 010 Twisted Brown (mid-toned grey brown, the perfect brow shade for blondes) and 011 Dark Brown (deep, slightly chocolate toned brown), depending on your skin tone either shade could be used as a cream contour (010 is grey based and ideal for light complexions, 011 is better suited to tanned and perhaps dark skin tones), with an angled brush they can be applied to the brows or used as a cream eye liner, and of course applied to the general eye area as intended. I am not sure if GOSH Forever Eyeshadow Matt is lip safe but it may be worth looking into?
Think of the GOSH Forever Eyeshadow Matt formulation as the gift that keeps on giving; not only is each shade wonderfully pigmented (the above swatches are one clean swipe each), the soft yet firm texture glides onto the skin without pulling or tugging and blends with such ease. Oh but that is not all, the GOSH Forever Eyeshadow Matt is waterproof and in my experience resistant against natural skin oils too - this is one of the very few products I can apply to my eye area without a primer, free from creasing. Obviously wear time is dependent on how and where you apply your chosen shade - used as an eyeshadow it was around the 7 hour mark before signs of wear began to creep in, as an eye liner it was closer to the 6 hour time frame. As a brow product, I did set with a little clear brow gel and can happily say that the GOSH Forever Eyeshadow Matt stayed put for a full 10 hour day, and as a cream contour it withstood 8 hours of my oily complexion with ease.
Add a GOSH Forever Eyeshadow Matt to your make-up bag, and thank me later when it gets you out of many a make-up jam.

Ooh, I may have to try the lighter shade for contouring. It looks cool enough for my pale skin, which is rare!
ReplyDeleteWould love to give these a go on my brows and as eyeshadow, they sound perfect for an on-the-go product!

ive been using the Rimmel Scandeleyes pencil in Taupe to contour with for a while but it needs sharpened and the product always falls out from the middle of the pencil before i finish it lol so this might be a better alternative xx

I have always used my Rimmel eyebrow pencil in the shade Hazel to do my contour as well as my eyebrows as it is also a greyish taupe brown sort of colour and because its a thin pencil it works great to contour down the sides of the nose especially as itis more precise.
ReplyDeleteIs it bad I really hate multi task products? I just hate them, pick a use lol.
ReplyDeleteI would like it for eyes though :)
