New Lottie London Brushes Review

Have you tried Lottie London brushes yet? The cutest, brightest brushes on the block that not only look great in Instagram and blog photos but more importantly than that, get the job done? Well if you are already a fan, the good news is that there is four new brushes to choose from and collect, and if you are new to the brand, well the world really is your oyster.

New Lottie London Brushes Review

As you can mostly likely see, yes the Lottie London brushes are bright, colourful and a step away from the norm. They of course look great, as a matter of a fact so good that I do believe it would be difficult to purchase just one brush and leave it there - luckily Lottie London brushes are utterly affordable (more or less under £10 each), not to mention cruelty free and vegan. If you needed any further excuse to treat yourself, I can also vouch that they preform well, wash up beautifully and in the instance of my first set, last for well over a year. Impressed? You will be.

The four new additions to the Lottie London brush line up could best be described as professional and precision tools; brushes to help you create a flawless base, as a few sculpting and buffing tools. It hopefully goes without saying that each brush is wonderfully made - weighted for ease of use, with soft fluffy yet dense bristles that pick up just enough product each and every time. Here is a closer look at each brush:

Lottie London, Buff and Blend Brush,Buffer Brush £7.99 - link
A mouthful yes but if a flawless base is what you crave, this is the brush you need and want on your side. This pretty pink flat top kabuki brush makes light work of applying and blending even the creamiest of liquid foundations - I also find that it prevents me from using more product than I need as it helps truly blend the foundation into the skin. If you crave an airbrush finish from your foundation and have been looking for an affordable tool to help you create such look, this is what you have been waiting for. As a side note as the brush is fairly large, I do find it helps to speed up my foundation application routine without jeopardising coverage or finish.

Lottie London, Lottie Studio Star Brush, Stippling Brush £7.99 - link
For those that enjoy a stippling brush be it for foundation or cheek product application, Lottie London have the very brush for you. This bright aqua and black brush is soft yet robust, with cream products it creates a soft, almost air-brush like finish and with powder products it creates a more diffused finish. If you find you over apply loose powder and feel like it cakes on the skin, this is the brush to reach for, it will allow you to gently dust the face and set the make-up, without overdoing it. I personally find it terms of liquid products, a stippling brush works best with lighter coverage bases and/or with those items you need to apply in layers.

Lottie London, Lottie Contour Queen Brush £7.99 - link
The Lottie London contour brush is on par with some of the more pricier versions out there, the stiff, slim-line brush neatly fits into the contours of the face allowing you to sculpt and create shadows. I will be entirely honest in saying that due to the firm nature of this brush, it does work best with cream products and can also be used to highlight, or paint on foundation/cream blush. My favourite brush of the blush but be warned it does take a little practise to nail the technique.

Lottie London Perfectly Precise Small Eye Brush £4.99 - link
Eyeshadow brushes are two a penny but surprisingly the Lottie London Perfectly Precise Small Eye Brush is a keeper - it is small yet perfectly formed. The synthetic bristles and slightly curved shape, neatly slot into even the smallest of eye sockets, allowing precision and gently application/blending. As the bristles are synthetic I do find that the brush works equally well with both cream and liquid textures and formulations.

I truly can not think of a more fun, nor budget friendly brush line up that preforms half as well as Lottie London brushes do. You can find the entire line up via Superdrug, both instore and online - link.
