New Invisibobble Hair Ring Sizes

New Invisibobble Hair Ring Sizes

At first I wasn't all that convinced that there was a place in my hair care routine for Invisibobbles and wrote them off as nothing more than a new gimmick that wouldn't stand the test of time. As it turns out I was completely wrong, the Invisibobble has changed everything for me. Okay not everything but they sure have shook up my hair care needs for sure - gone are my tension headaches from too-tight ponytails, general hair damage is minimised and unlike a traditional elastic hair tie I don't seem to snap nearly as many Invisibobble. A winning situation if ever there was one and now there is two new sizes of hair rings to choose from: mini and maxi.

The one thing I do forever mean to flag up is that Invisibobbles are not intended to be invisible within the hair, rather traceless quality refers to the fact that the hair tie does not leave an indent or any tell tale mark that your hair has been pulled off the face - clever.

So yes two new Invisibobble sizes, both of which come in array of shades both natural and fun. Let's begin with my current hair care obsession due to my new found Dutch braiding skill - Invisibobble Nano Hair Rings. These dinky and almost minuscule hair rings have been designed to secure braids, pig tails and perhaps could even be used on children and fragile hair too. If like myself you have super soft hair and find that your hair ties often "ping" off your braids, this is what you need - the coil like design and ribbed texture, grip onto the hair and do not slide off during wear. Now for those who snap hair ties every-single-day due to thick hair and for those who can not find a hair tie tight enough for any reason, we have Invisibobble Power. As you can most likely tell not only is this a large hair band but a stronger one too - it won't snag nor sag, has more grip than the average hair band, and will go around even the thickest of hair at least three times. It is my secret to a high ponytail without the headache, damage and frustration of breaking every elastic hair tie within my household.

For scale above is all three sizes of the Invisibobble: Nano (nude), Power (blue) and the regular size (pink/red). If you are new to Invisibobble on the whole I suggest trailing the original sizing and going from there, unless you have plans for braids or have exceptionally thick hair that is.

You can find Invisibobble via Boots from £2.95 - £4.95 for a pack of three - link.

  1. I found these as I had to do an emergency visit to Boots before yoga and they are awesome in every way (I am actually wearing one today), but especially for yoga, as it doesn't dig into your head when you're lying down. Maybe a bit of a niche positive point, but it was what made me like them so much in the first place!

  6. Thank you for this!! Normally my fine, slippery hair falls out of these, but I 'borrowed' a similar one from my mum which turned out to be the strongest I have ever used, it's amazing. However she can't remember where she got it, I can't find one like it and so I've been treating it like gold dust! I'll definitely pick up one of the extra strong Invisibobbles, sounds like it might actually work!

  7. This sounds amazing! My hair is so unruly I break a ridiculous amount of bobbles, and it's really heavy so I struggle to get a high ponytail without it sagging

  9. I purchased these when the first launched ages ago, I found they fell out/ became loose and out of shape really easily. The power ones though look great and would be much better for my amass of hair! x
