Lu Lu Lun Sheet Masks Review

I have all too quickly become a little obsessed and dare I say dependant on sheet masks, as such I do feel that over the last four months I have discovered what works and what doesn't. I should also hastily add that a lot like fragrance, skincare is entirely subjective - what works for me, may not for you and so on. However every now and then there is a product that under-performs so terribly, that you will struggle to see how it can be beneficial to anyone, enter Lu Lu Lun Sheet Masks.

While reading up on sheet masks, I constantly stumbled upon listings and reams of positive reviews of the Lu Lu Lun Sheet Masks and hastily clicked order. Apparently Lu Lu Lun Sheet Masks are the best selling masks in Japan; how true that is I do not know but as they are affordable and readily available within Japan (they are a Japanese brand after all) I won't dispute this. Along with such claim, I was also sold on the fact that the Lu Lu Lun Masks are not individually wrapped, rather they come in packs of 7, 14, 31 and 42 - great for travel and of course popping on my bedside table. As you may know, ideally (or so brands state) you should use a sheet mask every night, the pre-packed sheet masks offer an affordable and convenient way to do so. That my friends, is where the praise ends.

Lu Lu Lun Sheet Masks Review

There are numerous version of Lu Lu Lun Masks to choose from, all aimed at various needs and concerns; I purchased three of the more well known variants (Rich Moisture (Blue), Moisture (Pink) and Brightening (Silver) but truthfully I could not differentiate between the three in a blind test - all three sets delivered the same results...well if you could call it that.

You see, as the Lu Lu Lun Masks are not individually packed, there is of course less serum on each mask (weirdly the middle masks were the more moist of the pack) - in comparison to a individual sheet mask they feel dry and dare I say, not as luxurious. I also found that the Lu Lu Lun Masks are poorly cut and shaped - the eye holes are very small yet the mouth area is huge, this could of course be a personal issue and due to my face shape? One thing I can not blame my moon face for is the fact that once on the skin, no matter the variety the Lu Lu Lun mask dries out almost immediately. There is no cooling sensation, no brightening or soothing effect, nor instant hit of moisture, rather it almost feels like I have slapped a facial wipe on my face and called it a day. For the record, I did try all three versions of the Lu Lu Lun Masks and for the recommended seven consecutive days as suggested, and nothing improved nor happened if I am entirely honest. Perhaps I should be grateful that they did not break me out like others have in the past.

Cheap and cheerful sheet masks are plentiful, and as such I would recommend that you don't was yet your time nor money on the above.
