If you are a fan of Liz Earle's iconic Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser, then you are going to want to treat yourself to a bottle of the new and limited edition Liz Earle Limited Edition Rose and Cedrat Cleanse and Polish. I mean it is Valentine's day after all and we all deserve a rose in some form, or at least that is how I am justifying all Rose based products.

As I'm sure you aware Liz Earle's Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser, is held within very high regard - it has won over 100 beauty awards since it's launch and is still the only cleanser within the now expansive Liz Earle range. As you may be aware, the concept behind Liz Earle's Cleanse and Polish is to both gently and effectively cleanse the skin, (it will remove even the heaviest of make-up - looking at you Double Wear foundation) as well as exfoliating without irritating the complexion, with a dose of hydration too. There is probably no better cleanser for dry skin types and it is the product I recommend almost daily to teen readers - it is so gentle and easy to use.

Liz Earle Limited Edition Rose and Cedrat Cleanse and Polish

The best way to categorise the Cleanse and Polish formula, is to deem it as a cream cleanser. Yes that is selling it a little short but it is difficult to describe, the thick, almost moisturising cream like consistency any other way - rest assure it is not greasy nor overwhelming. To apply you simply dispense one or two pumps of product into the hands, gently massage into the face and neck, before removing with a damp muslin cloth. As Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish is a little thicker than your average cleanser, it encourages you to massage and really work it into the skin; this in turn promotes mirco-circulation which will leave the complexion glowing from the inside out - watch out J-Lo. The purpose of the muslin cloth (along with removing the cleanser of course) is to "polish" the skin so to speak, by using gentle, circular movements it will take care of any dead and dry skin cells, leaving the skin feeling and looking softer and smoother.

Admittedly science is not my strong point, rather than go into great depth and embarrass myself, let me quickly share a few of the main components of Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish: to protect, soothe and soften the complexion Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish contains Beeswax, which may also offer relief to chapped skin. To de-congest there is Eucalyptus essential oil, Glycerine for additional hydration, Hops Extract helps to tone the skin, as well as being an astringent (great for healing blemishes, Cocoa Butter to soften and lastly Rosemary Oil for it's beneficial antioxidant properties (to help promote and keep the complexion clear).

Liz Earle Limited Edition Rose and Cedrat Cleanse and Polish

The new and limited edition Rose and Cedrat version of Cleanse and Polish, contains all of the above along with Rose extract to calm and soothe the skin, and Cedrat for a deeper cleanse. It goes without saying that both new additions also contribute to the overall fragrance of the cleanser - a light, almost fruity based Rose treat, that really helps uplift and awaken the senses.

I am forever recommending Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser to all that will listen, the creamy texture is ideal for all skin types and ages - it glides over the skin, gently nourishing as it goes and generally is a joy to use. I hasten to add that I have oily, blemish prone skin and can vouch that this does not irritate nor overwhelm, rather it effectively removes all traces of make up and sunscreen which in the past have been the source of many of a break out.

If you have yet to try Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish, jump on board - it is fully worthy of all the hype and then some and the new addition is probably my favourite version to date.
