How to Sun Strip

Have you wrapped your head around Strobbing or as I call it - whacking on a pile of highlighter and giving it a fancy title? Ah you have and you've been doing it for years? Cool, well get ready to become further underwhelmed and re-name a beauty process you've also most likely been employing since back in the day - Sun Stripping.

How to Sun Strip

Don't let the fancy title fool you, this is simply applying bronzer to the high points of your face where the sun would naturally hit and embracing a natural sun kissed effect. In a way I am glad more simplistic approaches to make-up are coming to the forefront, it's accessible for all and frankly far less complicated than successfully contouring, yet still adds a little definition to the face.

How to Sun Strip

Unlike contouring you are free to use any bronzer you wish, shimmer based products will not hinder this process - you could even use a ruddy toned blush if you are more likely to burn in the sun should you wish. Once you have selected your bronzer simply sweep over the very tops of your cheeks and bridge of your nose in a strip and blend. Basically imagine where you'd apply a nose/cheek pore strip and apply the product there, it really is as simple as that.

Simplicity is all well and good but is this a flattering look that us mere mortals, not scheduled to straddle down the runway can utilise? Yes, it is - if anything this is a far more natural approach to bronzing and as such will suit all. If you want the effect of a few days in the sun minus the damage and expense this is a great technique to adopt - that is if you don't already.

Sun stripping isn't quite re-inventing the wheel, rather than re-naming it but it is not a technique I am against: quick, effective, easy and with a natural finish. What's not to like?
