10 Beauty Must-Haves Under £10

10 Beauty Must-Haves Under £10

Like most, I am still feeling the beginning of the year pinch, y'know when it seems you have more bills than cash and you've still to scrape up the funds for the annual Summer holiday. Yet you still want to treat yourself now and then. I hear ya and feel ya, as a matter of a fact I have gathered up ten of my favourite ever budget finds, each of which costs less than £10. You can thank me later.

10 Beauty Must-Haves Under £10

Superdrug Anti Ageing Hand Cream £1.49/75ml - link.
Have you found your perfect hand cream yet? No, well let me guide you quickly towards Superdrug Anti Ageing Hand Cream; an intense yet non-greasy balm like cocoon for the hands that contains not only Shea Butter and Pro-vitamin B5 to deeply nourish and hydrate the skin. To ensure that your hands remain youthful in appearance for as long as possible, Superdrug Anti Ageing Hand Cream contains UV filters too. At just £1.49 for a handy (terrible pun fully intended) sized tube this is one you don't want to miss out on.

Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Paint £3.99 each via Superdrug - link.
One area I forever skimp on is nail polish, I have never really been all that impressed by pricey formulations and would rather spend my money elsewhere. One brand that I forever rely on for all my nail needs is Barry M, affordable with both fashion forwards shades and classic hues too - there is good reason why most beauty-loving types own a good few Barry M Nail Paints. I personally stock up on Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Paints, I particularly enjoy the high glossy finish not to mention they are cruelty free. I will admit that to extend the wear time of any Barry M Nail Paint you do need a quick slick of top coat, otherwise I have no complaints whatsoever. I urge those that have yet to be introduced to the world of  Barry M products, to head to your local Boots or Superdrug store and fill your boots/basket.

10 Beauty Must-Haves Under £10

P.S Lip Liner £1 via Primark
Like most I pop into my local Primark store for socks, pyjamas and the odd piece of costume jewellery but not to be overlooked is their cosmetic range; from rather impressive sheet masks to wash off tanner and of course lip liners, the P.S Beauty range is well worth seeking out. I am personally enamoured by the P.S Lip Liner collection, there is around 6 shades all of which are creamy, long-lasting and in entirely wearable shades. At just £1 you owe it to yourself to pop one in your basket the next time you are in store - the nude shade is particularly purchase worthy.

Max Factor Long Lasting Lipstick £8.99 via Boots - link
Do you long to own an luxurious yet inexpensive lipstick? Well look no further than the Max Factor Long Lasting Lipstick collective of 12 fun yet easy to wear shades, with such an expansive range of shades there is something for every complexion and need. My personal favourite has to be Just Alluring, a bright and punchy pink that glides on to the lips with a soft creamy texture and wears for up to 8 hours per application. Rather impressively each Max Factor Long Lasting Lipstick contains a blend of lip conditioners and nourishing oils, these ensure that the skin is well catered for and allow you to skip a separate lip balm should you wish. Who says luxury has to cost the earth?

MUA Eyeshadow Palettes £4 each - link
Forget that most people deem the MUA palettes to be reasonable dupes to more expensive eyeshadow kits, that really only a bonus factor and focus on the fact that each MUA palette contains twelve large eyeshadows for £4. Not only does each palette contain a vast assortment of shade options and in some instances finishes too but the formulation isn't half bad either. Yes you will require an eyeshadow primer to prolong wear and to also prevent creasing, but other than that there is no real application issues. Above I have the MUA Undressed Eyeshadow Palette, a great range of light neutral eyeshadows coupled with a sprinkling of smoky hues to ensure all bases are covered.

Revlon Dramatic Definition Mascara £6.99 via Boots - link.
I say it all the time, Revlon Mascaras are so underrated: affordable yet offer wonderful results. I believe you could purchase any Revlon mascara and be more than satisfied but for me the real star of the show is Revlon Dramatic Definition Mascara. This soft, natural brush gently grabs every lash and stretches them to their full potential, adding a little volume too. One quick coat provides a natural but fluttery look, two coats provides the dramatic false lash look so many of us love. Your make-up bag needs this.

NYX Brow Gel £5.50 via Feel Unique - link
Say hello to the best budget brow gel you will ever find; this nifty tube not only comes in an array of natural shades but gently fills and tints the brow hairs too. As you can imagine being a gel based product, this also tames any stray hairs and allows you to forgo a setting gel should you wish. Yes this is a seemingly good dupe for the Make Up For Ever Brow Gel but if anything the NYX Brow Gel comes in more natural shades, especially if you require a fair shade. The downside? Application can be a little tricky, I find along with practise a stiff angled brush can work wonders.

Sunkissed Matte Bronzer £3.99 via Superdrug
I'm not all that familiar with the brand Sunkissed but having stumbled across the matte bronzing powder, I will be paying more attention in the future. This huge slab of matte bronzer comes in a great, warm yet non-orange hue that allows you to not only warm the skin but contour too. As the pan is so large this can also double up as a body bronzer too, perfect for helping to disguise tan lines come the warmer seasons.

MUA Undress Your Skin Highlighting Powder in Pink Shimmer £3 via Superdrug - link
Forget that the MUA Undress Your Skin Highlighting Powders are beautifully embossed and rather focus on the beautiful, difficult-to-find-in-powder-form oyster pink hue. MUA Undress Your Skin Highlighting Powder in Pink Shimmer is a light yet brightening, suit all pink hue that provides a high quality sheen-come-foil like finish that looks great on all. At just £3 I can not recommend it enough, with a fluffy brush you can impart a subtle glow to the skin, and with a fan brush you can create a more intense finish. It truly is not only my favourite budget highlighter but also one of my favourite highlighting powders of all time.

Natural Collection Blush in Pink Cloud £1.99 via Boots - link
Got £2? Great, then you need to treat yourself to Natural Collection Blush in Pink Cloud. This pretty, mid-toned matte pink blush adds a subtle flush of colour to the cheeks without ever being chalky nor over the top. Matte pink blushes are really difficult to get just right and yet this £1.99 beauty is near perfection. A quick swirl, combined with a fluffy brush and you have a long-wearing healthy glow, a beauty steal if ever there was one.

  7. Great post, will be trying the mascara and lipliner asap!

I've been on a budget too and have been enjoying researching cheaper alternatives to my favourite designer scents - not outright rip-offs, but just less fashionable, similar smells. Never thought I'd own a Jessica Simpson or Katy Perry perfume, but hey, if they smell like Prada and Armani...:)

  13. I've only tried the Barry M nail polishes from this selection, but it does make me want to get all the other products now! The Sunkissed bronzer looks gorgeous, the colour is just right. The MUA palette is beautiful, and if the quality is good when you're wearing primer than it's definitely worth trying out!

  17. I never really thought about picking up any beauty products from Primark as I guessed they wouldn't be any good but I've heard so many people raving about them recently! Such a bargain find, I will defiantly pick up one or six when I next pop in to get some more pyjamas!

  18. I love this post. I own some of the items you've mentioned and I agree that they're fantastic. I also find the coloured eye liners from Primark are pretty good (especially on my watery eyes). I'm also a massive fan of the Barry M nail varnishes - they're amazing for the price!

  20. I actually rediscovered my MUA palette yesterday. I always seem to overlook it because of the price point compared to my other palettes but the quality is incredible!
