To know me is to know I swear by Rosehip Oil, it is something I truly do feel nervous should I not have a bottle to hand and the product I will convince you, that you need. Skin care threats aside, Rosehip Oil is wonderful: it moisturises, it nourishes, it protects and perhaps most importantly it encourages the skin to re-generate.
Up until now I haven't truly been all that loyal to one brand - I do have a special place in my heart for Trilogy Rosehip Oil but always felt that as good as it is, it could do better. Enter Pai Rosehip Bioregenerate Oil, the oil that all but glows and produces the sound of angels singing when you crack it open - yes it is that good.
Before I tell you why I think your next purchase should be Pai Rosehip Bioregenerate Oil, let me explain why Rosehip Oil in general is so fabulous. As you have most likely noticed Rosehips are highly acclaimed within the beauty world, and as such relied upon in skin care products due to their naturally high levels of vitamin A, C and E; they are also rich in fatty acids (omega 3, 6 and 9), along with lycopene (an antioxidant) - which can protect the skin from premature ageing. I know what you are thinking, sign me up please. Further adding to Rosehips' skin care credentials is that it is one of the few products that penetrates on a cellular level, so in theory with continued use you can repair and restore the skin as well as shielding from future damage. The natural concentrate of vitamin A may aid the repair of scars as well as improving the general texture and tone of the complexion. Rosehip is said to be particularly effective against sun and environmental damage - restorative vitamin C and lycopene to the rescue. Again if used regularly it may reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles; the natural levels of vitamin A and C boost collagen turnover - hello plumper and smoother skin. Forget a genie in a bottle, this is the only miracle worker you need...I would still make three wishes if a genie appeared - just saying.
It takes a lot for me to write about yet another version of Rosehip Oil but Pai is worthy of all the praise within the beauty community and then some more. As to be expected this is a dry oil, meaning it is quickly absorbed by the skin, non-greasy and can be used under other beauty products. I personally use this as pre-bedtime treatment, I apply a few drops before layering on my night cream of choice. My theory is that as the skin naturally regenerates at night, combining the power of the body with a great oil can only be beneficial. My musings aren't completely unfounded as over the last few months, I have noticed that my old acne scarring has reduced vastly and other skin oil loving friends have reported similar benefits. It also works wonders on fine lines and stretch marks should that be a skin concern.
As you may have noticed, Pai Rosehip Bioregenerate Oil is a richly golden, almost orange toned oil which does temporarily tint the complexion. Worry not, after a few moments and a little skin massaging such tint completely disappears. For those curious in regards to the hue of Pai Rosehip Oil, rest assure that it is entirely natural and due to a unique blend of: Rosehip seed oil with Rosehip fruit oil, which contains five times the carotenoids and twice the regenerative sterols of a typical Rosehip skin oil. This is turn offers a higher concentration of Vitamin A and more anti-ageing benefits. Can I get a hallelujah?
Anti-ageing, skin-brightening, scar reducing, nourishing and generally a joy to use - I'm sure I don't have to further tempt you into trying Rosehip Oil for yourself. If you do decide to purchase a bottle of this wonder oil, do yourself a favour, skip the others and take home a bottle of Pai Rosehip Bioregenerate Oil - it truly is the best.

Whoop to Pai! This one has a super concentrated version of rosehip, so instead of it being similar to an oil you'd use for cooking, it is 'concentrated' kinda like concentrated orange squash! If your looking for a rosehip oil, this has to be the one.

You have summed it up better than I ever could :)
DeleteI swear by this pot of golden goodness! I've never used a product that helps reduce scaring so quickly. I've grown to love it's odd, but not unpleasant smell and like you prefer to apply in the evening followed by my night cream. All things considered it's a bargain buy and a product I will always choose over other mainstream oils.

Yes, what is the scent - it is almost savoury, isn't it? In all honesty it could smell a lot worse and I'd still slap it on, that's how much I love it! Me too, it is beyond wonderful :)
DeleteI tried Kosmea's and loved it immensely! Hope you get to try that one out, too, curious how it would fave beside Pai.

You should exactly like me, any time someone as much as mentions their skin I'm quick to mention this oil haha!
DeleteI always hear such good things about this and your review has sealed the deal, this will definitely be my next purchase after I use up my body shop face oil.

I promise you will love it :)
DeleteI love this stuff! I'm almost half way through my bottle and I really think that using it 2-3 times a week helps balance my skin and make it less oily than it would be otherwise, as well as helping to get rid of any scarring from spots more quickly.

As someone still in a similar position I can say that this (and generally Rosehip oil products) have really helped. The key is to stick with the oil :)
DeleteI purchased this in the Beauty Bay sale so am thrilled to see this very positive review and the endorsements in the comments! I'm desperate to reduce the scarring on my face after a very bad series of breakouts and didn't find Trilogy did anything (well, it was a lovely moisturiser, but with respect to scarring/pigmentation), so am excited to see the effects the Pai oil has!
ReplyDeleteThis is the best facial oil EVER. My go to every single night for the past 1.5-2 years!
ReplyDeleteI'm using a rosehip oil by Mount Purious but I much prefer the Pai one, so I'm definitely going to return to it once I've used my current bottle up xx

I just ordered this along with a skincare routine from Pai, I've never used their products so I'm very excited to start and see what the results are at the end of three weeks.
