Stella McCartney Stella Eau de Parfum

As a short (5ft 1 on a good day), baby-faced, 20-something year old I don't always get taken seriously and on the most part I don't mind - I mean who doesn't enjoy reduced train tickets and discounted child sized shoes. Not me. I do however have a desire to be taken seriously every now and then, and along with dressing a little less "cutesy" (read I put all black on and a pair of heels), I do tend to rely on one fragrance. A scent that tells me to pull up my socks and present myself as a "real grown up" and leave behind the fruity, bubblegum tinged fragrances. For me the only scent that can live up to such demands is Stella McCartney Stella Eau de Parfum.

Stella McCartney Stella Eau de Parfum

Much like the bottle - sleek and beautiful, androgynous, Stella McCartney Stella Eau de Parfum is the perfectly balanced fragrance. I'm guessing most will have tried or at least tested Stella McCartney - Stella at some point in your life? If not the main note is a robust Rose kick which Stella McCartney herself, associates with growing up in the countryside and associates with youth and being carefree. As a singular rose fragrance can be a little heavy and dare I say dated, Stella McCartney influenced by her husbands love of Amber scents, decided to combine both notes together. The end result a modern floral scent with a twisted, a perfectly leverage fragrance that exudes warmth and dimension. A fragrance that I will never grow old of, rather the opposite, I imagine this a scent that will grow and mature with me.

Note composition aside, I feel Stella McCartney Stella Eau de Parfum makes a statement; not necessarily a loud, crass declaration, rather an understated I have my life together call and hopefully convinces perfect strangers that I am indeed over the age of 18.
