Today I began de-constructing our Christmas tree (I forgot how messy real trees can be) and made some sort of effort to pack away the Christmas decorations - truthfully my heart really isn't in it. Saying goodbye to all the sparkly fairy lights, pretty baubles and the scent of the tree is all a little too much...okay, perhaps I'm being a tad dramatic but you can't deny that the home looks far prettier and cosier over the festive period?
If this seems like an all too familiar scenario, may I suggest dusting off your bank card one last time, before fully committing to that January spending ban and purchasing Diptyque Liquidambar Candle - let's hope it goes on sale soon, I could do with a back up. Should Space.NK add it to the sale or not, here is why I think you should make Diptyque Liquidambar Candle your own.
The Diptyque Liquidambar Candle is so much more than a beautiful, intricately designed home fragrance addition: it is a delicate, soft yet warming Winter fragrance, that fills an entire room with a woody yet fresh-come-powdery fragrance. Oddly for Diptyque this does seem to be a singular note fragrance, with that of course being Liquidambar (a type of tree). It is familiar, inviting and unlike anything else I have owned or tried from Diptyque. It may just help to prolong that festive, feel good cheer, a little longer. Here's to another few days of indulgence, candle or not.
Diptyque Liquidambar Candle £28-£48 via Space.NK - link.

I'm currently meant to be taking down the Christmas tree also, but it's so beautiful that I feel kind of sad putting it away.
ReplyDeleteWell, there are 358 more sleeps till the next xmas!

DeleteWe are taking our tree down today as well!
ReplyDeleteLast night before we turned the tree lights off My Husband said "Okay Babe, Look at your tree one last time for this year all lit up" and I got so sad! I'm not ready for the festivities to be over :(

Me neither - one more week please, that's all I ask :(
DeleteI have this candle. It's beautiful! I love the design of the pot too so I think I'll keep it to store makeup brushes in once I've used it up. I don't want to take my tree down! xx

Isn't it just , I think it will look divine used as a vase with red roses - at least that is my intentions. Tell me about it, the house feels so bare now :(
DeleteThis sounds amazing, I love the fresher more woody winter scents as opposed to the really spicy ones! I would also recommend trying a wood wick candle, they have some amazing scents and (as the name suggests) the wick is made of wood so you can hear it crackling like a log fire. It's very cosy, not to mention half the price of this one, and lasts ages! x

I have a few Woodwick candles and they are the best thing I bought this Winter - I love hearing/watching them flicker on a wet afternoon! Bliss :)
DeleteI don't want to take my tree down :( I'm waiting to put it back up again haha!

Same haha! It feels too soon!
DeleteMy tree made such a mess when I took it down but I love the smell of a real tree so it's all worth it. This candle looks like a good replacement 😀 Xx
ReplyDeleteTell me about it...pine needles for days! It really is :)
DeleteMmm Amber fragrances are one of my favourites, I'll have to hunt this candle down! We've still go our tree up for now - I hate taking it down, the front rooms always looks so empty afterwards! x

Don't the front windows looks so much more bear without the twinkling lights. January is such a dreary month!

DeleteHi, I think the lipstick got lost in the post, no sign of it. X
ReplyDeleteI've dropped you an email, if you don't get it please let me know! x
DeleteThe idea of taking of my tree and deocrations makes me so sad, but I can still remember a crazy year when I kept it till March ahaha.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know this candle but from how you describe it, it sounds really peculiar... I think soft-warm-powdery is really unusual.
Happy new year and lots of love to you!!!
Haha that is hilarious, I admire your dedictation! Happy New Year to you too :)
DeleteOh yes, I stalked this one when I was in Space.NK last. It smells DIVINE.
ReplyDeleteDoesn't it just :)
