The Body Shop Frosted Plum Collection

If images of dancing sugar plums are currently filling your head, this is the sinfully sweet yet fruity bath and body range you need to try. The Body Shop Frosted Plum Collection is the perfect combination of tradition merged with frivolity, it couldn't be more gorgeous if it tried and the good news is that the range is expansive. If a less than ordinary fragrance that you can layer is your one (or one of many wishes) this festive period, let me share a few of my favourite picks from The Body Shop Frosted Plum Collection.

First of all, a brief note or two on the actual fragrance - The Body Shop Frosted Plum of course is somewhat artificial in scent but not at all tart nor sickly sweet. It has a certain red berry vibe that is sweetened with a sugar note and complimented with floral accents of Peony and Magnolia. Best summed up? Soft, slightly powdery yet floral come fruity - complicated on paper but very addictive in person, not to mention a fragrance that will suit all ages and tastes.

The Body Shop Frosted Plum Collection

The Body Shop Frosted Plum Collection features 10 items in total to choose from, including: a scented candle (you can read my review here), fragrance oil, bath fizzers, soap, a mist on body spray and of course a body spray. All of those are great but in the current cold weather those are not the items I will get the most use out of; rather I prefer the creamy, beautifully scented and quick to absorb The Body Shop Frosted Plum Hand Cream (£4). As an added bonus is non-greasy and does not leave behind any residue - the dinky 30ml size also makes it ideal for popping into a pocket or handbag.

Dry skin is of course a very real problem during the cooler weather and as such, I do like to keep a body scrub or two in my shower to prevent a build up of dry, dead and dull skin. The Body Shop Frosted Plum Sugar Scrub (£15) is a gentle yet effective body scrub that will not irritate the skin. To use simply scoop out a little product, massage onto wet skin and rinse off - baby soft skin awaits.

Speaking of dry skin, no other area of my body seems to dry out nearly as quickly as my lips. As such I can't have enough lip balms, sure The Body Shop Frosted Plum Lip Balm may not be the most hydrating nor healing of lip balms but it does feel great on the lips and tastes even better (don't judge me!). As an added bonus it does feel thick, heavy nor sticky and upon application it gently tints the lips, as well as providing a little sheen too. A snip at £4.

For all your showering needs The Body Shop Frosted Plum range features a lightly foaming shower gel. I swear by The Body Shop shower gels as they are so concentrated, meaning a little goes a long way, all the while being super gentle on the skin. As with any shower gel, you can of course add a little to running water to create a makeshift bubble bath.

In the cold weather we can all be forgiven for "forgetting" to moisturise our bodies: it is cold, it is a chore and nobody will see my dried out knees or elbows anyway - all excuses I tell myself daily. For all those that need a little encouragement, let me point you in the direction of The Body Shop Frosted Plum Shimmer Lotion (£8) . Not only is this body lotion a light, quick and easy to apply moisturiser that gently nourishes the skin, all the while adding an illuminating shimmer effect to the skin. It is the perfect addition to any festive beauty routine and ideal for applying to the legs, arms and chest for a little additional pizazz.

Whatever you choose, just be sure to try The Body Shop Frosted Plum collection before it is retired for good!
