The Library of Fragrance Pixie Dust Cologne Review

As a child I was fascinated by all things mystical and would spend many an hour in my front garden with hopes of finally meeting an elusive fairy. Then there was the dreary, rainy afternoons spent with my siblings in front of the TV, watching Disney movies dreaming about Princes and Princesses and eating up every magical moment. Well if a little like myself, you haven't quite grown all the way up and would like nothing more than to smell (one can only imagine of course) like a mystical Pixie, you may want to purchase a bottle of The Library of Fragrance Pixie Dust Cologne.

I've spoken many, many times about The Library of Fragrance Colognes and stand by my admission that they are nothing short of genius. Using single note compositions, The Library of Fragrance bring to life the everyday scents that are often neglected by other perfume houses. From Gin, Thunderstorms, Dirt, Pizza (yes really!) to even Christmas in New York (I need to purchase this as soon as possible as it will bring to life all festive movie ideals - Home Alone 2 anyone?); you can bet The Library of Fragrance offer it in fragrance form. Further adding to the allure of The Library of Fragrance scents, is the fact that due to the single notes they can be layered with other fragrances to add a little extra something special. I personally enjoy "toughening up" my floral fragrance wardrobe by adding a quick spritz of The Library of Fragrance Black Pepper and/or Leather.

How I wear fragrance is not why you came here, you want a little magic in your life and I for one am not going to stand in your way. I know what you are thinking, how exactly would one create a Pixie Dust scent, given that it is a fragrance that only exists in the imagination of children and over enthusiastic adults? Not an easy task but The Library of Fragrance have done it justice.

The Library of Fragrance Pixie Dust Cologne Review

The Library of Fragrance Pixie Dust Cologne is soft, fruity, young and for lack of a better term sparkling. It reminds me of fizzy yet sugary, hard boiled sweets combined with fruity, candied notes. Yes it is a young, fun scent but it is one I think even the anti-Disney crowd will enjoy. In a sense it is pretty similar to Lush Snow Fairy but less fruit based but I'd imagine, if you like one, you'll like the other.

The Library of Fragrance Pixie Dust Cologne is perfect for the young and young at heart who enjoy a more novel approach to fragrance. At just £15 for a 30ml bottle, it will add a little magic all year round to anyone's life as well as being terribly apt this festive season. I am smitten.
