Just when you think you've seen it all, the beauty world throws me a curve ball and leaves me suitably impressed. It's December - the time in which all of us beauty magpies reach for glitter polishes, glitter nail polish..glitter everything. More is more as far as I'm concerned. Well what if you could have a beautiful golden glitter nail polish that has a certain snow globe quality? I believe shut up and take my money were the words I whispered.
Let me share Nails Inc Snowglobe Nail Polish, also known as the most festive and dare I say fun nail lacquer the world has ever seen...
If like myself you have seen Nails Inc Snowglobe Nail Polish around but didn't fully understand the concept, let me explain. Essentially the Nails Inc Snowglobe Nail Polish is not all that far removed from your typical gold, glitter top coat - it features a transparent base in which tiny flecks of golden glitter are suspended within. The main difference is that unlike said other glitter top coats, the sparkling shards of glitter, within this polish settle at the bottom of the bottle. Now here comes the fun part - to activate the glitter you shake the bottle and watch all the flakes dance and swirl around the bottle, a lot like a snow globe from childhood's past. I tried my best to show you the snow globe effect by tipping the bottle upside down but the images don't quite capture the magic.
Before you write off Nails Inc Snowglobe as a mere novelty item, let me tell you the added bonus of the settling glitter - it allows you to determine just how sparkly your nails will be. For a subtle approach (I rather like it on bare nails) to glitter nails, simply lightly shake the bottle and apply. For a more intense finish, shake the bottle vigorously and then paint your nails (it looks great layered over black or deep red shades). It really is rather clever, and if that is not enough Nails Inc Snowglobe Nail Polish is free from DBP, Toluene and Formaldehyde.
Now if only glitter eye shadow was nearly as fun...
