Let's forget gift guides, sure they are helpful and fun to read but they are not the real reason we visit beauty blogs; rather we want the scoop on both what is new and what is unmissable. It doesn't matter if you splash out now, or live in hope of the following sets making the New Year sales, make sure you don't miss out the Laura Mercier Holiday Collection 2015. Here are a few of my personal favourite picks...
Laura Mercier Haute Lips Full Colour Lip Trio £25 via Space.NK - link
I don't know about you but my bag is pretty quickly weighed down and I am forever looking for smaller sized cosmetic options to prevent straining my arm (the struggle is real). The Laura Mercier Haute Lips Full Colour Lip Trio, may be a mouthful but is sure is a great, conveniently sized, every day lip kit. For £25 (a little on the pricey side, I'll give you that) you receive: Laura Mercier Crème Smooth Lip Colour in Pink Dusk (2g), Laura Mercier Paint Wash Liquid Lip Colour in Petal Pink (6ml) and Laura Mercier Lip Pencil in Baby Lips (0.7g). All three are fairly well sized and in a super wearable, nude come medium pink that should suit most complexions, all the while looking super natural.
Laura Mercier Glam to Go Cheek, Eye and Lip Travel Case £35 via Space.NK - link.
Speaking of travel sized options the Laura Mercier Glam to Go Cheek, Eye and Lip Travel Case is perhaps one of the best, do it all travel palettes I have ever stumbled across. Inside the dinky, palm sized, tortoiseshell palette, you will find not only a blush, a bronzer and a lip gloss but also four neutral eyeshadows. It really is the perfect kit to stash not only in your handbag but travel bag too - I mean realistically if I was jetting off somewhere, all I'd throw in a bag is a tube of mascara, foundation and a pressed powder. The Laura Mercier Glam to Go Cheek, Eye and Lip Travel Case contains the following shades: Coquette,Vie en Rose, Ro-cocoa and Espresso Bean eyeshadows, cheek colour in Riche Nectar, bronzing pressed powder in Soleil Bronze and a mini lip glacé in Sparkling Daiquiri.
Laura Mercier Daring by Night Eye and Cheek Colour Palette - link.
If lip colours or in this case lip gloss is not really your thing, the Laura Mercier Daring by Night Eye and Cheek Colour Palette may be more suited to your needs. Again this a beautifully packaged palette, that is fairly compact and contains the basics for a polished, neutral beauty look. Unlike the above kit, the pans inside the Laura Mercier Daring by Night Eye and Cheek Colour Palette are a little larger and comes complete with a mini eye liner too! The Laura Mercier Daring by Night Eye and Cheek Colour Palette contains the following products and shades: eyeshadows in Pewter Dust, Silver Fox, Poison Ivory, Noir, Thunder; Face Highlighter in Rosegold Shimmer, and a khol eye pencil in black.
Laura Mercier Stroke of Genius Brush Collection £65 via Space.NK - link
Travel sized make up is one thing but I have found in the past, miniature brushes are not only hard to come by but also fairly poor in quality. Not the case with the Laura Mercier Stroke of Genius Brush Collection; not only is each brush well made (and sized), with fluffy bristles and weighted handles and are on par in terms of quality as the brand's full sized brushes. The Laura Mercier Stroke of Genius Brush Collection contains six brushes, all neatly presented within a sturdy case that travels really well (be that in your hand luggage or hand bag). The full brush line up is as follows: Flat Eye Liner Brush, Eye Crease Brush, All Over Eye Colour Brush, Ponytail Brush (a tapered brush), Cheek Colour Brush and Secret Camouflage Brush. A great and for the quality, well priced kit that I can not recommend enough.
Laura Mercier never fails to impress huh?
