Grooming Festive Gift Guide

I'm not ashamed to say that I suck at purchasing and thinking of gift ideas for males, I'm by no means an expert in the field of grooming but I have kept all tastes and budgets in mind. I have gathered up all my favourite grooming products, threw in a few surprise choices and forwent the Lynx/Axe body spray route - I mean does anyone really want a strong and dated body spray gift set for Christmas.

Fragrance can be really tricky to get right for yourself let alone a loved one so it can be a brave choice, the two male fragrances that I have noticed everyone loves (myself included) have to be Gucci Guilty Pour Homme and Dolce & Gabbana Pour Homme Intenso. Personally (and this is not set in stone), I recommend Gucci Guilty Pour Homme Eau de Toilette for those under 30; it is warm, woody, sharp yet fairly modern. For those a little more mature, be that in years or in taste, I would point you in the direction of Dolce & Gabbana Pour Homme Intenso Eau de Parfum. This intense yet easy to wear herbal fragrance is a little different from the norm, cementing it's place in any fragrance collection.

What do you buy the man that has everything? Well if you are me, the answer is a candle - to be fair that seems to be my answer to most things. I can not recommend Woodwick Fireside Candle enough, not only is the earthen, smoky tones of the scent the perfect Winter fragrance - it really does smell like a real fire but the flickering, crackling, wooden wick adds a certain ambience that other candles can not.

In my opinion the height of luxury bath and body care has to be Molton Brown and what could be indulgent than having both a Molton Brown Hand Wash and Hand Lotion at you disposal daily. I know it is a little corny but both have really spruced up my bathroom and the fragrance of Molton Brown Wondrous Myrrh, Musk and Cypress is both festive and rather heavenly. If you are feeling especially generous you could also bestow a Molton Brown Scented Candle on your loved one - I recommend warming and slightly fragrance Frankincense and all spice...now all you need is something gold!

We all need pampering now and then, don't we? My stocking filler-come-small gift suggestions would be Clarins HydraQuench Cream-Mask - this nifty intensive moisturiser requires next to no effort yet delivers baby soft skin every use. One of my favourite hand creams that will surely be loved by all is Grown Alchemist Vanilla & Orange Peel Hand Cream - not only does it smell suitably festive but it takes care of even the driest of hands. For those who struggle to sleep, why not gift them with not only a bottle of This Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray but also a festive bath blaster from Bomb Cosmetics? My personal favourite would have to be Oh Xmas Tree - a strong, spice based bath treat.

I hope a few of my suggestions come in handy and don't worry you have nine full days of shopping left until the 25th (collective groan)!
