B. Balenciaga Skin Eau de Parfum

B. Balenciaga Skin Eau de Parfum

Have you ever discovered a fragrance and fell in love? I don't mean like and enjoy wearing, I mean love and simply have to have? Yes I have strong feelings for fragrance and B. Balenciaga Skin Eau de Parfum is the first scent in a long while that I've been obsessed with - no seriously. The soft, almost leathery fragrance, is all that I have been wearing in the last few days. I can comfortably say that it is a new signature scent of mine and of course, a permanent addition to my fragrance wardrobe. Like I said I am obsessed.

I've seen other fellow bloggers rave about the B. Balenciaga Skin Eau de Parfum bottle, now don't get me wrong it sure is pretty but I don't particularly find it all that particularly special. It is in no way tacky: rather it is a pretty, somewhat multi-faceted design that features a blush colour scheme. A very understated and dare I say sophisticated bottle, that dutifully serves its purpose while hinting at the fragrance held inside.

B. Balenciaga Skin Eau de Parfum contains notes of: Bergamot, Green Tea, Soya Bean (an odd one huh?) and Lily of the Valley as top notes, coupled with Violet Leaf Absolut, Peony and Iris Root at the heart, and Cedar, Cashmere, Vetiver and Ambrette Seed at the base. In my opinion none of the above notes really stand out, nor dominate the scent, rather they fuse together to create a soft, creamy, floral fragrance that somewhat reminds me of suede. I realise that sounds odd but it has an almost buttery-come-leather note that lingers on the skin; a very sensual fragrance that clings to the skin but never overpowers. Think clean and sexy yet understated and you have B. Balenciaga Skin Eau de Parfum. I can't think of any fragrance to compare B. Balenciaga Skin Eau de Parfum to and do you know what? That is okay, it stands alone and that is most likely why I love it so.

B. Balenciaga Skin Eau de Parfum is exclusive to Harvey Nichols £48-£79 -link

  1. Oh that's disappointing! You had me intrigued with that description and right in the final line I find that I won't be able to try it because I can't get to the only place that sells it. Oh well! Lovely description anyway.

  4. I cannot wait! My bottle is coming UPS from Sephora on Wednesday. I actually loved Balenciaga B. and just finished off the bottle but I didn't fall for it, not like I did Narcisco Rodriguez 'For Her', which has been my signature scent for over 10 years! I am looking for something new, but in the same note variety, please pardon my newbie wording. I have been a parfum lover for years, but am just now really getting into learning the ins and outs of it all. Thank you for your review. I am reading many reviews that are all saying the same on Sephora. I thought I'd check the bloggers as well, to make sure I am thinking that I will be super happy and find a new scent to add to my wardrobe.
