Miller Harris Editions Collection Review

Miller Harris is my go to fragrance brand when I require something a little more luxe and unusual. You can't help but feel special purchasing, let alone wearing a Miller Harris Eau de Parfums. With the festive season rapidly approaching (collective groan and prayers for my bank balance), why not treat a loved one (or yourself) to a stunning bottle of one of the new Miller Harris Eau de Parfums?

Recently Miller Harris launched three new fragrances as part of the Miller Harris Editions Collection, each of which is more alluring than the last, not to mention they can be combined to create a bespoke, signature scent. My personal favourite has to be Miller Harris Tea Tonique Eau de Parfum but more on that later...

First up we have Miller Harris L'Eau Magnetic Eau de Parfum, a light, airy and somewhat surprising fragrance that captures the chaotic nature of the ocean. It is crisp, somewhat unisex, easy to wear yet truly makes a statement - it is one of the few scents that you will stumble across, that will seem familiar yet difficult to pin point what or who it reminds you of. As you may expect with a scent that draws inspiration from the sea, this contains a salty note combined with top notes of bergamot and lemon, pink peppercorn, a heart of petit grain, white cedar wood, completed with a base of tobacco, bourbon vanilla and tonka bean. Utterly addictive.

I've reached the stage in which Rose based fragrances have become boring, it takes a lot to impress me or as much as pique my interest as far as Rose scents are concerned. Miller Harris Rose Silence Eau de Parfum is what I like to call a game changer - soft and feminine yet not powdery, floral yet not dated and ever so slightly spicy thanks to the added kick of sandalwood and patchouli. If you have a particularly difficult to please female relative to gift this Winter, then may I suggest you purchase a bottle of this? You may just become their favourite niece, nephew, son, daughter etc, you can thank me later.

And now we reach my favourite scent of the trio, Miller Harris Tea Tonique Eau de Parfum. I know what you are thinking - "tea is for drinking not for wearing" but give this unpredictable yet slightly smoky fragrance a chance. Warming, gentle and ever so slightly festive without an obvious abundance of spice notes. Miller Harris Tea Tonique Eau de Parfum is perfect for those who want a somewhat deeper Autumn/Winter fragrance, a scent that will linger on a wool coat and yet can be dusted off come the lighter months of Spring. It is one of those parfums that you need to try to believe but to further tempt you, the note composition is as follows: bergamot, petit grain and lemon at the top, followed by smoky tea and a hint of nutmeg at the heart, completed with subtle yet powerful hints of mate abs, birch tar and musk. Doesn't that sound incredible? Spolier, it is.

You can find all three of the Miller Harris Editions Eau de Parfums via Miller Harris (£65-£95 each) - link.
