Elizabeth Arden Always Red Eau de Toilette

Within the UK remembrance day is the 11th of November, a time in which we pay our respects to those who perished within the wars, and to acknowledge all the service men, woman, veterans and their families for their efforts. Typically it is not an event associated with beauty brands but as Elizabeth Arden created a red lipstick, for the female US Marines as part of their standard issue uniform during World War II, the brand want to continue supporting service personnel. Rather than supplying lipstick Elizabeth Arden now donate to the Royal British Legion, a charity that provides care and support to service personnel, veterans of all conflict (past and present) and their families.

Elizabeth Arden Always Red Eau de Toilette

This year Elizabeth Arden will be donating £5 from every sale of Elizabeth Arden Always Red Eau de Toilette between 11th of October - 11th of November to the Royal British Legion. The fragrance itself is fitting for the colder seasons of Autumn and Winter, a bold, robust yet richly fruity scent that warms, uplifts and cocoons the wearer. Featuring top notes of red plum, blood orange and exotic passion fruit, combined with a floral heart composition of: sambac jasmine, pink freesia and velvet rose petals and a rich base of amber, mahogany and praline. This is an unforgettable fragrance that will turn heads and linger in memories. In my opinion it almost smells chocolate like and reminds me of the festive period. Elizabeth Arden Always Red Eau de Toilette  is not overly dissimilar to Gucci by Gucci Eau de Parfum, if anything I'd say this is a little longer wearing and every so slightly more punchy.

I'd also like to add that should you purchase a bottle of Elizabeth Arden Always Red Eau de Toilette via any UK counter you will be offered a complimentary "Red Lip Look". Think of it as a mini make over and the easiest way to find out which red lipstick will best suit your skin tone and needs.

This post contains a press sample but as it is a charitable product I have donated £5 directly to the Royal British Legion.
