Limited Edition L'Occitane Shea Butter and Honey Collection

I very seldom like honey scented anything, let alone bath and body products but the new limited edition L'Occitane Shea Butter and Honey Collection has won me over with it's milky come sweet fragrance. A collection of six body care products, complete with a soap that in which proceeds raised will enable a patient from a rural area in Burkina Faso, to have access to glasses and eye care. Basically smell great, feel better - the perfect combination.

L'Occitane Melting Honey Solidarity Soap £3
Let's further discuss the L'Occitane Melting Honey Solidarity Soap shall we? A small, sweetly scented soap that is has been formulated with Shea Butter and Honey to both cleanse and deeply moisturise the skin. If ever there was a great hand soap for the winter months to prevent the skin from further drying out it is this. As mentioned above all profits from the sale of each soap will go directly to a rural area within Burkina Faso, to provide spectacles and eye care for individuals.

L'Occitane Melting Honey Lip Balm £8.50
L'Occitane is renowned for their brilliant hand creams but I personally feel that their silky, super nourishing lip balms are often over looked. A soft, lightweight, butter lip balm that contains 5% of Shea Butter to ensure that the lips are both softened and comforted in one quick swipe. I particularly like that it is not overly scented nor sticky and yet leaves the lips with a gentle glossy finish. A great everyday staple that works well alone or layered over/under any lip product of your choice.

L'Occitane Melting Honey Whipped Hand Cream £8
As mentioned above I am a fan of L'Occitane hand creams, I truly think you would be hard pushed to find anyone who isn't? Perhaps one of the more nourishing hand creams I have tried in a long while is L'Occitane Melting Honey Whipped Hand Cream, a soft, buttery yet quick to absorb formula that soothes and comforts in one quick step. If you need an intense non-greasy hand cream that will hydrate quickly then L'Occitane Melting Honey Whipped Hand Cream should be your next purchase. It contains 25% real Shea Butter coupled with honey to take care of even the driest of skin types.

L'Occitane Melting Honey Soft Shower Gel £14
With large collections it is rare that you will enjoy or like every product within the range, the one item that I didn't enjoy using was the L'Occitane Melting Honey Soft Shower Gel. The formulation itself is brilliant - a moisturising yet deep cleansing shower gel that could double up as a shampoo should you need it to. As it is not a cream based product I found it to be the sweetest in scent and a little too honey scented which is not something I personally enjoy, otherwise it is faultless and will be enjoyed by many others.

L'Occitane Melting Honey Exfoliating Sugars £22
One of the down sides of Autumn/Winter is dried out, flaky skin. A novel way to keep dry patches at bay is the new L'Occitane Melting Honey Exfoliating Sugars, a soft, squidgy paste like exfoliator that contains sugar crystals and ground walnut shells to gently polish the skin and remove dead cells. As with all the other products within this line up, this too has been enriched with shea butter (5%) and honey to promote soft, supple skin. It is a great way to buff the skin but due to the slightly sticky texture I do recommend using this before cleansing with a shower gel as it can be prone to sticking to the skin.

Lastly we have the L'Occitane Shea Butter and Honey Ultra Soft Cream moisturiser for the body which is a thick, easy to apply yet quick to absorb comforting body cream that is perfect for dried out skin. As you may or may not know I have small patches of eczema and find that some products further irritate it but this rich cream, soothes, comforts and cools the skin, all the while softening. As you'd imagine this also contains a blend of honey and shea butter (10%).

As mentioned above this range is limited edition and won't be around for long so if something catches your eye or you particularity enjoy the fragrance of honey I'd stock up while you can.
