Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Intensive Hand Treatment Review

One of the joys or should that be perils of Winter is chapped, painful and dry hands. A season of stuffing hands in pockets, embracing the cold and often wet weather can leave our poor paws looking worse for wear. If this sounds all too familiar, may I suggest investing in a tube of Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Intensive Hand Treatment, a rich, creamy hand salve that will not only heal any chapped and irritated skin but act as a preventive measure too.

Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Intensive Hand Treatment Review

If you are a loyal fan of Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream, you will know just how effective such balm is at resolving dried out, stressed skin. You will also know that the formulation is thick and dare I say a little greasy; yes it is wonderful as an intensive treatment and one of the best lip balms I've ever used but when sat at your desk, it is one of the last things you'll want to slather on your hands. Trust me on this, paper will stick to your fingers as will everything else you touch, your keyboard will have a decidedly greasy sheen - save the original 8 Hour Cream for your home and try Elizabeth Arden's 8 Hour Intensive Hand Treatment.

Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Intensive Hand Treatment Review

Much like the original balm, Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Intensive Hand Treatment has been formulated to deeply moisturise, calm and protect the hands. The thick and somewhat luxurious cream is quickly absorbed by the hands offering instant relief, all without any greasy or worse sticky residue. If anything it is silken and far more light weight in texture when compared to the original 8 Hour formula. It gently cocoons the hands, shielding not only from the elements but also water, making it the perfect choice for hairdressers etc. This is one of the few products that I find to be gentle enough to use on my hands when my eczema flares up, yet so deeply nourishing and restorative that it will heal even the most weather beaten hands and feet. Yes that's right, don't just use this cream on your hands, apply a little to your feet to soften hard skin and in some instances even help to heal and prevent blisters.

Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Intensive Hand Treatment is fairly pricey at £26/75ml but a little goes a long way - I still have over half a tube from last year which I did use daily, if not more. If you treat your hands to one product this upcoming Winter, let it be this.
