I mentioned in my "Three Great Budget Friendly Day Moisturisers" post that Soap and Glory Speed Plump All Day Super Moisture Marvel Moisturiser, is very similar to Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask. The main difference is that this is better suited to everyday use and as such has a slightly lighter consistency that is quicker to absorb, not to mention it is more affordable. Oddly both products share a similar scent - a somewhat creamy peach fragrance that is rather addictive. My skin is fairly easily sensitised and the fragrance has not been an issue thus far. If scented skin care is an issue, I suggest patch testing for a few days before applying to the face - this is my general advice for all new skin care purchases.
As someone with oily skin it is rare that I stumble across a heavy duty moisturiser that is not overwhelming in texture but the lightweight, almost gel consistency is gentle, non-greasy, comforting (it eradicates any skin tightness) and cooling. Due to the texture Soap and Glory Speed Plump All Day Super Moisture Marvel Moisturiser provides a great, hydrating canvas for make up application or simply as an everyday moisturiser. Admittedly the latest Soap & Glory skin care launch does not contain SPF, nor anti-ageing technology but it does have a stellar line up of ingredients, such as: Vitamin C to brighten, shea butter and vegetable oil to both moisturise and soothe, along with Sodium Hyaluronate for a deeper dose of hydration. This is in addition of Soap & Glory FRUITYLASTIC™ - a raspberry plant cell extract, rich in anti-oxidant properties, which in theory should aid skin repair and protect from environmental damage (sun, pollution and smoke).
I've said it before but I'll say it again, I really do believe that Soap and Glory Speed Plump All Day Super Moisture Marvel Moisturiser will be the Autumn/Winter skin care saviour for many - myself included. It is a quick and easy resolve for tight and uncomfortable skin, be it from air conditioning, artificial heat or just generally dry skin. It is quick acting, non-greasy and deeply hydrating - need I say more? If you have a dry or dehydrated complexion, you need this.

Ooh I love moisturisers like this! I've been using the Clinique one for a years now but I want to cry everytime I repurchase due to its high price tag so maybe this could be an alternative for me

ReplyDeleteI have oily skin too so I'm always a bit wary when moisturisers are a bit thick/heavy. This one sounds lovely though and I'd love to give it a go.

These sounds really nice and S&G seem to hit the nail on the head every time! Not to mention the packaging is adorable, especially for a moisturiser as they are often quite plain. x
