Sure, the last thing I needed was yet another candle but when you visit Anthropologie it is near impossible to leave empty handed. I am in the process of re-decorating my bathroom and have been on the look out for some blue and bronze accessories, ideally they would be functional and not of the shabby chic variety. Answering the call is three of the Anthropologie Capri Blue Volcano candles which not only smell wonderful but look fantastic too - sometimes it really is as shallow as that.
Yes Autumn is on the way but not everyone enjoys, rich and in some instances spice based fragrances. Some of us will be clinging on to the last days of Summer and hoping to inject a little light and zest back into our homes? Well there couldn't be a more perfect home fragrance to do this than Anthropologie Capri Blue Volcano - a bright, citrus fruit based scent that is mellow and oh so more-ish. The main notes are tropical fruits such as sugared oranges, lemons and lime, coupled with exotic mountain greens. In some senses it reminds me of a fresh fruit salad and complicated fruit cocktail drinks. Either way it is difficult not to day dream of foreign lands, sunny beaches and crystal waters around the Anthropologie Capri Blue Volcano fragrance that's for sure.
Yes I did purchase three candles of the same scent - I wanted a decorative cluster, that would appear less than obvious in style yet complement one and other within my bathroom. I also wanted to be able to light all three candles at any one time, without creating a murky, fussy, less than welcoming fragrance. I am kicking myself for only purchasing one of the dimpled bronze candles (£14) as it is beyond pretty and could be re-purposed once the candle is all but a distant memory. I guess the same could be said about the small Blue Mercury Jar Volcano Candle (£10)and the Capri Blue Tin Candle (£12).
Anthropologie may not be the obvious choice for candles or home fragrance but I have been nothing but pleasantly surprised - beautifully designed candles that burn well and feature the most divine scents too. I'll certainly be back for more in the future.
