The Best Budget Cheek Dupe Products

The Best Budget Cheek Dupe Products

Why pay more, when you can pay less?

A question I ask myself almost daily as I peruse the beauty halls, looking for new additions and reasons to spend money. One thing I have noticed that for every high end and expensive product, there is a budget friendly option, that more often or not is as good as the original - a dupe if you will. With that in mind, I have gathered up all my favourite penny saving finds to help you save a few pounds and perhaps discover a new product or two?

Sleek Make Up Cream to Powder Blushes

Does the packaging of the Sleek Make Up Cream to Powder Blushes (£5.99) look familiar? If you are nodding and thinking of NARS, then you will not be surprised to learn that the Sleek Cream to Powder Blushes also somewhat mimic NARS in formula. The Sleek Cream to Powder Blushes are a great alternative to NARS Cream Blushes (£21.50); maybe not so much in tone, as NARS Cream Blushes are more muted in shade compared to their powder counterparts - none the less a good formulation match. The Sleek Make Up Cream to Powder Blushes have a soft cream to powder texture, are almost matte in finish yet not completely flat, they are beautifully pigmented and shade selection aside, they are as close a match to NARS Cream Blushes as I have found. If I am entirely honest, the Sleek Make Up version is a little drier in texture - this isn't necessarily a negative issue, as it does prolong wear but it does somewhat hinder blending ability. As a side note Sleek Make Up Powder Blushes also offer a great rival product to NARS Powder Blushes.

MUA Luxe Blush and Highlight Shimmer Sticks

While we are on the topic of NARS dupes, I think you will be hard pushed to find a closer match to the now cult NARS Multiple (£30), than the MUA Luxe Shimmer Sticks (£4). Much like the aforementioned Multiple, the Shimmer Sticks can be applied to the cheeks, eyes and lips not to mention they share the same, chubby cream stick packaging that lends itself well to on the go application - simply apply and blend. Again much like the NARS formulation, the MUA Luxe sticks come in an array of shades and finishes, which does extend to matte options.

Collection Gorgeous Glow Block in Bronzing

One of the easiest cheek products to dupe has to be Bobbi Brown Shimmer Bricks; just about every budget brand offers an alternative, stripy highlighting palette. To save you the hassle of shopping around, let me share the best budget option I have found - Collection Gorgeous Glow Block in Bronzing. This cool toned, array of six complimentary shades not only adds a subtle hint of radiance to the face, as well as a light glow but it doubles up as a great neutral eyeshadow palette too. A great little find, for fans of blush tones this block also comes in the shade Blush.

Collection Speedy Blush Stick

Perhaps cream blush is more your forte? If you have been searching high and low for a great alternative to Clinique Chubby Stick Cheek Balm (£19), then you are in luck as I have found Collection Speedy Blush Stick (£3.99) to be all but identical in formula. Both blushes are chubby crayons of well pigmented cheek colour, in which you simply dab on and blend for a pretty flush of colour. The formulation of both sticks is a non-greasy, cream to soft focus powder finish. The main difference price aspect aside is the colour selection - Collection offer more red/pink tones, where as Clinque have a larger and more diverse shade range.

Bourjois Aqua Blush 12hr

At first I wasn't overly keen on the Bourjois Aqua Blush 12hr (£8.99) formulation; thin, water based and very sheer, they do however wear exceptionally well (once applied and set, they do not budge) and can be applied in layers for a more intense pop of colour. They are the ideal choice for balmy days and if you are lucky, perhaps lounging by the pool as they are so lightweight and weather resistant. One day while applying a Bourjois Aqua Blush, I finally figured out what they reminded me of - By Terry Cellularose Blush Glace (£38). Both are gel based, gentle in tone and texture, not to mention long wearing. I do have to give it up to By Terry Cellularose Blush Glace in terms of formula, as it is more colour saturated and generally more skin nourishing, with a stellar list of skin caring ingredients.

Mememe Blush Me Boxed Blushes

Mememe Blush Me Boxed Blush (£8.95) in Coral is a great dupe for Benefit Coralista Boxed Blush and the shade Rouge is not worlds apart from Benefit Bamba. It may also please you to learn that the formulation and packaging styles are also very similar. Both blushes are finely milled, beautifully textured, pigmented powder blushes that do not gather into the pores nor fine lines, wear well and come complete with cute mini brushes. The topic of dupes aside, I recommend checking out the Mememe Blush Me Boxed Blushes for the shade Bronze - it is easily the most beautiful bronzer, highlighter come eyeshadow I have ever experienced and worth every penny.

Feel free to add your favourite cheek dupe product in the comments, I mean can you ever have too many blushes?

  6. The Sleek powder blushes really look similar to Nars. I've tried the regular powder ones but not cream formula just yet. Anything that saves money but still keeps the quality is a winner in my eyes!

I adore Sleek blushers, haven't tried the new formula but the old ones really do give NARS a run for their money - especially the shade selection!
