The latest Superdrug collection combines both the fun fragrance of sweet treats, with everyday essentials. With the Superdrug Limited Edition Sweet Shop Collection you can wash your hair, body and more with the nostalgic fragrance of traditional sweets - all the pleasure without the guilt, or trip to the dentist afterwards. As an added bonus, until next week each item within the collection will only be 99p as an introductory offer. Let's have a closer look at the Superdrug Limited Edition Sweet Shop Collection shall we?
For the hair there is three candy scented essentials: Superdrug Pear Drop Shampoo and Conditioner and Superdrug Lemon Sherbet Dry Shampoo. I think it is pretty important to bear in mind that this is a fun range and in the case of the hair products, not exactly result driven. By that I mean, the Superdrug Pear Drops Shampoo and Conditioner will cleanse and to some extent hydrate your hair, however they may not be what those with dry hair have been searching for. I think for normal to fine hair textures they will be a great fun, addition to any shower - otherwise they are perhaps best kept for occasional use. The fragrance of the shampoo and conditioner is that of a typical, almost vanilla based candy scent rather than what you may come to know or expect from Pear Drop sweets.
A safer and perhaps more practical bet would be Superdrug Lemon Sherbet Dry Shampoo - a zesty, sugary lemon scented dry shampoo, that quickly absorbs excess oil and re-freshens the hair too. It can be quite powdery, so perhaps brush through after each use to prevent the dreaded white cast, that some dry shampoos can create.
If you are a fan of blue raspberry flavoured slush drinks (who isn't?), then you need Superdrug Shower Gel in Raspberry Bubblegum - it smells exactly like said drink. A sweet, sugary treat that lathers up beautifully, cleansing the skin and fragrancing as it goes. It doesn't dry out the skin and if you need it to, it can double up as a bubble bath. A great way to spend 99p, if I do say so myself.
For those who enjoy body sprays and fun scents, then perhaps I can tempt you with Superdrug Body Spray in Jelly Bean. This smells exactly like a retro candy shop, soft, sugary and very vanilla based. It is not a musk based vanilla scent and ideal for combining with both floral and fruity fragrances. The slim and pretty can is also great for keeping in your handbag for a quick, fragrance pick me up throughout the day.
I'm not too sure how I feel about scented tissues but at 99p for a box, I guess the Superdrug Scented Tissues are a great way to be experience such novel concept. Not only do the Superdrug Scented Tissues feature a sweet, almost powdery icing sugar fragrance but they are soft, of great quality and are ideal for popping into the bathroom and/or on the bedside table.
Lastly and due to my currently sensitised skin, we have a product I have not been able to try out Superdrug Self Heating Mask in Vanilla Fudge. I kid you not, when I say this smells good enough to eat - much like the sweet treat of the same name. As with most face masks, this has been designed to deeply cleanse and rebalance the skin. At 79p this could be a great accompaniment to your next pampering evening?
So what do you think of Superdrug Limited Edition Sweet Shop Collection? A cute idea, that is a fun way to spruce up somewhat boring, everyday essentials or is it all a little too sickly sweet for you?
You can find all of the above Superdrug Limited Edition Sweet Shop Collection via Superdrug for 99p per item.
