Collection Fast Stroke Eye Liner may not win any accolades in terms of packaging but it more than gets the job done. I enjoy felt tip style liners as I feel they are more forgiving when it comes to application, well compared to a gel liner at least. I however do not like typical felt pen liners as you need to press down, to release the product which minimises control. The Collection Fast Stroke Eye Liner comes presented almost like an ink well, that way you can remove excess product with tissue and forgo adding unnecessary pressure to your eye lids. The small nib applicator allows you to create thick, thin and all that is in between sized lines with ease.
The reason Collection Fast Stroke Eye Liner is a beauty classic, well as far as I'm concerned at least is not only due to how it preforms (more on that in a minute) but the intesnity of pigment. If you struggle to find a really black (or blue, or brown) liquid liner and dream of truly opaque pigmentation, this is the product for you. There is no need to apply several coats of Collection Fast Stroke Eye Liner, one layer provides an intense black block of colour.
Is Collection Fast Stroke Eye Liner perfect? No, it can flake a little but other than that I have no complaints. Sure it may become a little crispy around the 8 hour mark but that is only occasionally - I think it may have something to do with whatever foundation I'm wearing at the time? Other than that it stays put rain, shine, humidity and as mentioned even stage shows. I like that Collection Fast Stroke Eye Liner dries instantly to a matte finish, so there is no transfer onto the eye lids nor bleeding/smudging when applying. As an added bonus Collection Fast Stroke Eye Liner doesn't irritate my eyes, nor is it a nightmare to remove. There is now a waterproof version of Collection Fast Stroke Eye Liner, I have yet to try it as I am so enamoured by the original formulation. Maybe for the sake of comparison I will one day?
Is Collection Fast Stroke Eye Liner a beauty staple for you too?

I have used Collection Fast Stroke since the days of it being all I could afford, but even now I still class it as my go-to liquid eyeliner and use it absolutely every day!
ReplyDeleteGreat review! :)

I've used this in the past, but just can't get on with the applicator. Personally I find gel liner brushes much much easier to use (:

I used to swear by this eyeliner when I was just getting into makeup. It made practising with different eyeliner styles so easy!

I love this liner and I don't think I will use anything else for a long time. I don't particulalry like the applicator but what I do is I dip my dried out L'oreal fine line pen into the pot an use that to apply Collection Fast Stroke liner. Perfection!
ReplyDeleteThis black liquid eyeliner is my holy grail, the best one I've ever found x

I find loads of drugstore eyeliners create loads of transfer though out the day, will definitely have to give this one a go!

This one is awesome but dont go near the waterproof version, its clumpy, flakes off and just generally isnt as nice...
ReplyDeleteI really like this eyeliner, but it does fade and I find it can dry out quite quickly. I think I need to repurchase it and give it another go.

My all time favourite eyeliner is Makeup Revolution's Awesome Double Flick Thick and Thin. It surprised me with how good it is and how long it lasts for only £3.50. When worn with an eye lid primer like Stay Don't Stray I don't need to worry about transfer. I definitely recommend giving it a try. It actually made me put down Benefit's They're Real Push Up Liner.
ReplyDeleteI swore by this little pot of black goodness for YEARS, and this post might have persuaded me to give it another shot!
