Two Clarins Skin Essentials for Young Complexions

I feel within the skincare world we are often bogged down by not only new launches but products that are so stepped in anti-ageing technology they scare us younger ladies and gentlemen off. Sure I believe prevention is better than a cure, I would however argue that young skin simply does not require the same heavy ingredients nor textures than those with mature skin do? If like myself you are in your twenties and want to invest in a few great skincare items, that will help ward off premature ageing in the long run, won't overwhelm your skin or needs and give plenty of bang for your buck then I have two stellar finds from Clarins.

Two Clarins Skin Essentials for Young Complexions

My skin care secret (or not so as I do share it with everyone) is Clarins Face Treatment Oils - I swear by them; three problem targeted facial oils (dry skin, oily skin, dehydrated skin) that quickly inject moisture, balance and protect the skin, prevent future moisture loss and in some cases act as a gentle astringent. All three feature natural anti-ageing ingredients (this mainly works by shielding the skin from environmental damage) and despite being oils they are quickly and easily absorbed by the skin. No the Clarins Face Treatment Oils do not come cheap (£32/30ml) but not only does a little go a long way but the oil itself if constructed with 100% pure plant extracts too. In my opinion and experience this is a facial oil that you can grow with - my teen sister uses it as a weekly treatment oil, I slap it one before bed and my Mother combines with her night cream. They are gentle, effective and suit just about all skin ages and types, if you invest in one skin oil this year let it be by Clarins - I'm almost certain you'll be converted! Along with facial SPF I do think the sooner you get into the habit of applying eye cream the better, again I realise that a lot of textures are simply to heavy for younger skin types. That is why I swear by Clarins Eye Contour Balm - a light, fine textured lotion like consistency that instantly hydrates and soothes the skin instantly. This was and is my first step into anti-ageing for the eye area, I was sold by the fact that with continuous use it may protect the vulnerable skin concerning the eye area. It does so by using a blend of ultra gentle and nourishing Shea Butter, this can help to restore elasticity and of course moisturise deeply. Clarins Eye Contour Balm also includes Chicory to heal the skin and Cereal Seeds to revitalise, none of which are fortunately detectable within the texture. It is one of the few eye creams that I own, in which I can apply make-up immediately after use and experience no problems, if fact I'd go as far as saying it provides a lovely, even base - perfect for when you are dehydrated. As a side note Clarins do state that this can minimise the look of wrinkles, fine lines and crows feet which I can't comment on but for us with younger skin it is more than enough to keep the eye area looking fresh and of course prevent future damage in the long run. Again this does not come cheap but it is well worth the investment. You can find Clarins Eye Contour Balm for £31/20ml via Boots - link.
