Weekly Beauty Favourites

Have you ever experienced a week in which you don't really do all that much, in terms of going places and yet it feels like you have never stopped? For me that was the last seven days, I mostly ran errands and prepared for the weekend (T in the Park) and yet I feel like I'm running on empty - I say running, a brisk walk at best is my go to pace throughout life. The next seven days promise to be just as busy, so get comfy and let me fill you in on my week...

Going On's - Other than T in the Park (which I'm at today) the only blog worthy event that happened was a trip to NAF Salon, a new nail and beauty bar located within the city centre. It may just be the coolest beauty destination I have ever been to with splashes of pastel, cool art on the wall and super affordable services. If like myself you enjoy someone else taking care of your nails NAF is the place to go - gel nails start at just £20 and the quality is insane. I will be back in a few weeks that is for sure, you can check out the finer details of the salon here - link.

Beauty Rediscoveries - If ever there is a time to go a little overboard with highlighters it is the Summer, at the moment I love nothing more than glowing skin. I never thought I'd see the day that I choose dewy over matte and yet here we are. My current go to highlighter in The Balm Manizer in Cindy Lou - this is my second pan of the ever so slightly, peachy toned shimmer based powder. If a beauty junkie like myself who owns over 30 highlighters, replaces something instantly you know you are on to a good thing! You can find it here via Feel Unique for £17.50 - link.

Sunshine filled days have yet to find Glasgow so my tan is 100% fake, not that I care when it looks natural and is easy to apply. Currently I have been raving to all that will listen about Bondi Sands Self Tanners; I love that they are quick and easy to apply, don't streak, smell great and are utterly affordable. My go to product more often than not is Bondi Sands Self Tanning Foam in Dark - great if you have a medium skin tone or simply want a deeper tan than normal. You can find it via Superdrug for £14.99/200ml - link.

To know me is to know that I have a slight obsession with both SPF and hand cream, stashed away in a drawer I found Roger & Gallet Crème Sublime Bois D'Orange Hand & Nail Cream. Not only does this hand cream smell utterly delicious - like ripe, juicy oranges but it contains an SPF of 15 and works quickly to soften and nourish the hands. It is one of the best hand creams I have owned and that is saying something. You can find it here via Feel Unique for £6/30ml - link.

Speaking of SPF if you have dry skin and are on the look out for a facial SPF option then I recommend Eucerin Sun Face Cream SPF50. Admittedly my skin is not the driest but I do like that this both moisturises and protects - it is also really kind on blemish prone skin and gentle enough to use on kids. If you find sunscreen has a tendency to block your pores this is a great option to look into. You can find it here for £16/50ml via Feel Unique - link.

New Finds - Barely Prep, Blot & Blend Sponge is set to revolutionise skin care, a dinky little sponge in which you dab skin care such as moisturiser and/or serum on to the skin. It may sound a little bizarre but it oddly works and is the perfect match for anyone who finds that there skin doesn't absorb skin care nearly as quickly as they'd like it to. You can find it here for £5.99 via Feel Unique - link.

A primer that blurs, nourishes and offers an UV shield? It could only be the Murad UV Invsiblur Perfecting Shield, this is a very new to the market and to my bathroom shelf. I will of course pop up a full review in a week or so, for now I can say that it has a light, silken texture that works to blur imperfections and of course protect the skin. If you enjoy primers that perfect and are not heavy on the skin this is one to look into - the SPF addition is a bonus in my opinion. You can find it here via John Lewis - link.

My Current Obsession - Shower gels! Yes really, I seem to be collecting them as a go and on a never ending quest to find the perfect cleansing buddy. At the moment I am really enjoying the Treacle Moon collection and of course Lush Shower Gel's, I'm counting down the days until I am able to go back to Lush Oxford Street and stock up on Lush The Comforter Shower Gel.

Fragrance of the Week - Again no empties - I know, I know I should really step my game up but sometimes it is nice to flip flop between products isn't it! I do however have a fragrance recommendation in the form of Jo Malone Wild Bluebell Cologne, a scent that is often overlooked. If you enjoy bright, fresh florals this the one you should check out, it is light, refreshing and oddly comforting - should I ever get married this will be my something blue.

Feel free to let me know what you have been enjoying over the last seven days or perhaps what you are looking forward to most in the coming week?
