It's no secret that I am a huge fan of Real Techniques brushes (aren't we all?) and as someone who struggles immensely with eye liner, the new Real Techniques Collector's Edition Eyelining Set grabbed my attention from the get go. Four kit exclusive brushes all designed for ease of use and of course detail this is the kit you need if you have yet to master the art of the feline flick, or simply want to grab a few great everyday brushes.
As you can see the Real Techniques Collector's Edition Eyelining Set comes complete with a storage pouch which could come in handy when it comes to travel, or of course to keep them safe and clean. Ascetically the brushes are what we know and love - black and pastel in colour complete with soft, duo fibre bristles. They are well made, light weight yet not flimsy and well sized.
The four brushes within the Real Techniques Collector's Edition Eyelining Set are:
- Real Techniques Smudge Brush - a small "C" shaped, dense yet soft brush that can be used to of course soften harsh lines or apply eyeshadow delicately to the bottom lash line.
- Real Techniques Pointed Liner Brush - again a small brush that features a flat yet broad and tapered brush head, it is on the firm and dare I say it stiff side which lends itself well to gel and liquid liner formulas rather well. You can use this to easily line any area of the eye and it could also be used with brow gels to mimic the effect of brow hairs, or as a lip brush.
- Real Techniques Eyeliner brush - a super firm, angled brush that creates sharp and precise lines with both liner and brow products. I find it somewhat makes achieving a cat flick liner look easier as it slots into the outer corner of my eye really well and does some of the work for me.
- Real Techniques Precision Liner Brush - a smaller and more tapered version of the Real Techniques Pointed Liner Brush and as such offers all the same uses but with a little more precision. If like myself you have small and/or hooded eyes you made find the small, brush head a joy to use on your eye lids as it doesn't over load the lid with product. I know some will shudder at the mere thought but this could double up as a nail brush.
As always Real Techniques deliver and you may be pleased to learn that the Real Techniques Collector's Edition Eyelining Set costs £19.99 (just under £5 per brush) and you can find it via Escentual - link.
