Kiehl’s Super Multi-Corrective Collection

 Kiehl’s Super Multi-Corrective Cream is like a tall, glass of water for the skin - despite boasting a thick texture the cream glides on to the skin, cooling, refreshing and melting into the surface immediately. At £42 for 50ml this does not come cheap but the good news is a little goes a long, long way and it features an impressive ingredient line up: Jasmonic Acid (to plump and add volume to the skins surface), Hyaluronic Acid (moisturises, retains moisture and plumps) and Beech Tree Extract (improves collagen and elastin production). As I have young skin with no lines or wrinkles, I decanted a little and asked both my Mother (40's) and Grandmother (70's) to put this through its paces for a fair trial. Both reported very similar results that it instantly plumped the skin, making lines less visible with the added bonus of a slight glow immediately after use. It also softens and tightens giving a somewhat lifted effect, yes it is temporary but with continued use my Grandmother has stated that her skin looks and feels less crêpey in texture - a huge win given her sun damage.

Admittedly less is known about the Kiehl’s Super Multi-Corrective Eye Opening Serum  ingredient list - apparently it contains 10% Botanical Extracts and Sodium Hyaluronate (the salt form of skin-identical ingredient hyaluronic acid according to skin care Bible Paula's Choice). I can however say that this light serum is both refreshing and firming, again it cools and soothes the skin all the while lifting the delicate eye area. Despite being a serum it is rather moisturising and suitable for even the most sensitive of eyes. At the moment I am suffering from hayfever and have found it to reduce redness and puffiness, neither or which it claims to do. Those with more mature skin will also notice a reduction in fine lines as well as somewhat lifting and temporary eye opening effect. It can be used alone or teamed with your usual eye cream depending on how dry your skin is. Again this is not cheap - £36/15ml but a little goes a long way!
